By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Surprisingly light citrus aroma. Golden color with light white head that laces. Starts with floral bitter, backed lightly by malt. Very firm mouthfeel. Creamy. Very nice bitter finish. Really nice.

Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 3, 2007
Bottle at Akkurat - shared with Mette. Clear golden - white head. Grassy, dryness, light piney, light sweetness, light citrus, a rather simpel IPA -> simpel grassy hopped. OK - but it needs some complexity.

Bottle as shown. Pours a light amber color with a little white head that last with nice lacing. The aroma is very hoppy with hints of wheat grass. The flavor was also hoppy but smooth and a great finish, reallly enjoyed this one.

Scopey (14946) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2012
Keg at Brewdog Aberdeen. It pours cloudy amber, with a massive white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, nectarine, honey and grass. The taste is pine, resin, citrus pith, grapefruit, hay, grass, floral and spice, with a bitter-dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Good stuff, but not quite as amazing as other ratings suggest.

Ratman197 (14946) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 3, 2005
Bottle poured a clear golden yellow with a white head leaving behind brussels lace. Aromas of carmel, bread and a bit of citrus. Good crisp mouthfeel. Flavors of carmel and mildly bitter citrus. Not the best IPA Ive had, but better than their Ruination.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2012 Re-rate 1/24/12: Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks zvikar. Slightly hazy deep golden. Aroma of piney and grapefruity hops and some malt, slightly caramelly. Flavor starts sweetish and malty and continues with lingering grapefruity bitterness. Medium-bodied. Nice and quaffable. 6/3/7/3/14=3.3 <BR
Bottle. Clear orange color with a medium off-white head. Floral and fruity aroma with lots of hops, citrus, and some peach. Flavor is malty sweet with some caramel and some fruitiness, and evolves into lovely hoppy, grapefruity, bitterness. Nice full-bodied. Great and refreshing. 8/4/8/4/16=4

imdownthepub (14744) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 5, 2009
Cask conditioned at The White Horse, Parsons Green, London. Hazed gold with white head. Quite a fruity beer with good hop character, the best beer in this Festival for me, a little flat but still very drinkable. Lemony citrus body, quite powerful and drying. A pretty decent beer.
