By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

12 fl. oz bottle at a beer taste, Nuremberg, Brau-Beviale.
Amber colored with a coppery-reddish tones, small lacing off white head. Nuts and toasted caramel in the nose withcitrusses, grapefruit, riped cheese, spicies. Medium but oily body with a floral-herbal, citrussy and resiny bitterness. Sweetish honey and some vanilla in the background. Correct IPA.

Pour: light orange with a white head. body looks a bit thin Smell: loads of hops, some citrus (maybe lemon?) grassy and floral Taste: slightly agressive hop flavor up front with some citrus notes. floral grassy notes with a slightly spicy and skunky finish. One of the better IPA iv had. i still like the ruination version better but overall not bad.

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a long-lasting white head. Smell is sharp...orange zest, lemon, maybe some lime. Taste is similar, but the bite fades away the longer you let it sit. Good hoppiness though, almost a flowery feel as it warms. I’ve had this one before, but apparently never rated it.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours amber golden with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma strong of citrus and pine hops. Flavor also strong of hops, with lots of fresh citrus undertones. Smooth texture. A great IPA.

Pour is a golden yellow with a large white head with good retention. Nose is of hops with some floral notes and pine needles. Taste is rather hoppy while staying smooth throughout. Beer is quite refreshing and very lively carbonated.

355mL bottle. Pours bright hazy gold with a small white head that settles to a lingering thin covering. Hop driven aroma, citrusy, floral and woody with a bit of cannabis and some honey and caramel in the background, although there’s something else very subtle there that smells off, and possibly also some diacetyl. Mild sweetness, medium bitterness, the malt and hop flavours are well integrated. Light-medium bodied, very drinkable, smooth and creamy with a drying bittersweet finish.

Pours a cloudy yellow/gold, head is white and not as plentiful as I would have expected. Whatever head was there disappeared quickly. Smells hoppy and has deep floral notes, with a bit of honey mixed in. Simple, yet pleasing aroma. Taste is similar, as it doesn’t counter the bitterness of the hops with much of anything, but is not too bitter (in my opinion) as to be unpleasant. Leaves a nice sticky bitter coating in mouth and is very crisp from start to finish. Alcohol is not noticeable at all, and each gulp does down easy. Simple, well done IPA.

HopMasterFlex (108) - Carlsbad, California, USA - FEB 4, 2011
This is a classic San Diego IPA. It is crisp and refreshing and has a very good hop profile.great for everyday drinking without draining your bank account. It pours a light golden color with a 1 finger head with decent lacing. Smells are all hops with a little malt. Taste is bitter and hoppy with a little malt flavor just as you’d expect. It has a clean and dry mouth feel at the same time. Overall, like I said it isn’t going to make you drool for more but it is a great goto especially at bars that have bud, coors, miller, bluemoon, and stone ipa. Can’t go wrong with it in that situation...

Bottle- Pours a copper color with a billowing head and good lacing. Aroma is primarily pineney with citrus and a trace of sweetness. Initially has a mild malt sweetness then moves to a nice tangy bitterness with a fairly dry finish. Fairly medium body, crisp and refreshing. Well Balanced. Very solid IPA.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2011 12 oz bottle. Pours hazy dark orange, small head, with a bit of lacing. Aroma of citrus, fresh fruit, hops, grass. Taste is also citrusy and intensely hoppy. Aroma and flavor both very fresh. Finish is bitter (almost a bit too bitter for me), but expected for a beer with 70+ IBUs. This is the beer that turned me on to IPAs. Love it.
