By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Its like grapefruit, except its beer. I remember years ago, when I couldnt stand IPAs, and this was horribly bitter. Interestingly, now I taste mostly grapefruit (and less of the grapefruit-pine blend I tend to like most in IPAs now). This actually tastes more oaky than piney. And, needless to say, I now like it. Thank you for corrupting me, Holy and Jerry (not related to any Jerry who rates beer on here).

On tap at taphouse westmont. Lots of bitter hops. Slightly pine and dank. Nothing else in the aroma. Very bittter for a single ipa. Lingering bitter ness. Very close to the ruination.

Spicy black peppet nose. Brief dead zone in the aroma department before the spiciness returns accomplanied by an orangy liquor nose. Foamy fluffy white headon top of yellow golden glow. Very hop forward with long firm bitter development through the middle palate and to the end with a long and strong finish. Supportive body, not heavy, but balanced and porportional.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden and clear with a frothy white foam thats sticky and lasting. Smells like hops, herbs, flowers, fruit. Medium body with a smooth and creamy mouth feel. Heavy hop flavor, herbs/spices, pine, citrus, grass. Light grainy malt sweetness with a dry finish. Hopped up all the way through. Good, but a bit overrated in my opinion.

12pz bottle poured medium orange with white head that disappeared quickly. Nice big hoppy aroma of citrus and mild pine. Minimal malt in the nose. The flavor is very good and solid. Nice citrus hop on the fore front. Followed by some pine hop on the back end of the tongue. Very well balanced.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2013 Was very excited to try this one, amazed I was able to grab some of this in Australia. Pours a light yellow colour with a generous white fluffy head, Looks very nice. Nice hope aroma, not overwhelming but indicates a exciting beer ahead. Taste is a little different from many IPAs I have had before, has the hoppy taste with some medium bittereness but also has a little sweetness as well. Very well balanced beer, this beer certainly did not dissapiont, Top notch beer.

Light copper appearance with a medium head. The taste is of grapefruit with medium bitterness for an IPA. Also has a higher malty flavor. One of the better IPA beers.

Vibrant gold color with humongous white head. A bready floral citrus hop smell. A pretty intense bitter taste with a fair amount of grapefruit, mid to late palate is a nice yeasty, cracker, bread with a tiny bit of caramel malt. A little too intense on the bitter and lacking in the sweet but enjoyable overall. Gorgeous sticky lacing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
