Very hoppy, and yet very smooth. The nose is dominated by grapefruit, honey, rockmelon and pine. There’s also a nice dusty finish. The mouthfeel is incredibly hoppy and yet not overbearing. A nice achievement. bergstaden (2981) - Røros, NORWAY - NOV 18, 2013

Nice honey amber ale wit ha couple fingers of soapy white foam and gauzy lace. Excellent clarity. Nose is grapefruit, peppercorn, honey, pine, a hint of mango and some resin. Flavor is nice and bitter with a solid biscuit malt profile and some nice resiny flavors. There is a bit of tangerine and pine in here as well. Medium bodied with moderate carb and a wet, yet cloying finish. Nice beer.

A: Pours a honey ale with exceptional clarity with a two finger head of off-white blossoming head which dissipates slowly to leave a thick sheet of the same. Spotty lacing.
S: Pine, resin, mostly dominate the nose here. some medium grain and caramel tones. Lightest hints of mint and cotton candy. Decent.
T: Balanced. Super balanced. I don’t believe this beer is super fresh, but the hops have died out a bit the beer is dominated by a healthy malt backbone and early hopping bitterness. Nearly good, but now, above average.
M: Medium body, and medium to light carb. Good feel. Leaves mouth with little reminder that it was just there.
O: Very drinkable. I wouldn’t call this beer great, but I could likely drink all night, and that’s a sign of a quality flagship beer, as this is.

Had several bottles of this at a science function in California this week. Big hops in the nose and the taste. Dry, crisp, refreshing bitterness. BLADT (700) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - APR 18, 2014
UPDATED: APR 19, 2014 From bottle. Nice, hazy gold in glass. Super fresh. Dank hemp perfume with mango and citrus spritz. Inviting. Like sticking your face into a bag of hop pellets. Taste has plenty of tropical fruits, tons of green hops and a orange grass follow up. Wonderful. Fresh throughout. eRock_2013 (469) - South Carolina, USA - APR 20, 2014
A standard-setting IPA, heavy on the pacific hops with a strong but enjoyable bitterness. The appearance was surprisingly golden clear and luminescent, included a solid white head. Smell and taste were both of a strong flavorful intensity. Very satisfying and fresh hoppy flavor, hoppiness seems intentionally out of balance with malty or sweet flavors. Some floral hop accents. Finishes clean and appetizing for another round. Worthy of its reputation, although not my personal favorite IPA.
