COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Red Ale brewed with Papua New Guinea coffee and aged in Bourbon barrels.

An Imperial Red Ale with a pound per barrel of Papua New Guinea whole bean coffee added. Flavors of cold brew coffee meld with the barrel woodiness and oak vanillin to create a sensation reminiscent of tasting a coffee with cream liqueur added. Some typical cold extracted coffee flavors such as green and red chili like notes typical of good cold brew are present. A rich and satisfying brew.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2018 On tap at Stone Company Store downtown Oceanside. Deep red hue with fat beige head. Nose is caramel malt, smoke, barrel and bourbon. Coffee shows in flavor, good balance between sweet and bitter. Medium body, quick finish.

Red brown pour some foam. Aroma caramel. Chili peppers, green peppers black pepper. Caramel toffee ooh my. Tastes spicy caramel bourbon coffee liquor. Some earthy buried wood. Super. The reddish base works so perfectly here.

Exactly what its advertised as. A coffee IPA. Doesnt work, in other words. Dark amber pour with ok head. Some malt but hops eclipsed by coffee. Tap at city taphouse.

Not a lot in the aroma. The coffee is much more presents as soon as you drinking a beer. I get the maltinesss of the Red Ale. Alright.

Deep amber with an off white head. Bourbon, vanilla and oak aromas. Coffee forward flavor; light bodied with a big malt bite, strong cold brew coffee and boozy Bourbon character. Notes: on tap at Aces & Ales (Tenaya) Stone Domination event, May ’17

Draft at Pizza Port OB. Pours hazy ruby red with a fizzy beige head. Tastes like roasted malt, roasted coffee, light booze, and bitter earth. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like roasted malt, roasted coffee, earth, and some dried fruits.

On tap at Crafty Cow in Oconomowoc. Brownish tan pour with a beige head leaving streaky lacing. Nose is big coffee grounds, with some cream. Taste is of sweet malts, coffee and cream. Also some dark fruits show through. Not to the level of the nose, and disappointingly so. Medium bodied or a touch thicker, the blend is decent and there is some alcohol presence. Finishes fairly bitter and also fairly short. The nose is nice, nothing else really meets that level. 13.5
