12-oz. bottle. Dark amber pour. Thin to medium tan head that had medium staying power. Beautiful American hop aroma: very citrusy with undertones of caramel sweetness. Taste is very pleasant and predictable for a Stone ale. Sweet malts are rather subdued though. Not as aggressive as most of their other offerings, although I will say that the hops profile is very pronounced. Medium carbonation with a rather watery texture. I am wondering how old this beer is. I bought it as a single bottle, so I don’t know the brew date. But it tastes a little flat. Oh well, I will try another one in the near future and see how it goes. It is very drinkable, but in the same way that a lot of other mediocre beers are: you can drink a lot before tiring. A good but not great beer. UPDATED: MAY 19, 2012 Nice hop smell, much like a traditional pale ale. There are some notes of sweet yeast in there, and also some caramel. Pours a nice dark brown with a head that dissipated quickly. Sediment apparent. On the taste getting a good amount of hops, but also with honey unique toasted flavor. Must have been the English yeast. Good amount of caramel backbone. Mouthfeel is a bit lighter. Lots of bitterness come through, more hop bark (aroma) than bite (flavor) Plenty of robust flavor for 4.4 abv. Enjoyability 4.5/5 vinhol (346) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 9, 2014

Dark amber pour with a big long lasting head and lots of lacing. Another very full flavored and full bodied brew from stone. Floral and sweet nose. Rich full flavored malts almost perfectly balanced with bitter floral hops. Pleasant bitter-sweet finish. bethmatt0421 (337) - Covington, Kentucky, USA - MAR 11, 2009
Citrus hop nose, flavor is thick peppery malts, citrusy hops, some florals. A thicker body than youll find on most other ambers. I would agree with minch25 on this, the most punch out of a beer with only 4.4% alcohol. A good beer. jmulv (336) - New York, New York, USA - DEC 12, 2010
This is just really phenomenal. As it mentions on the bottle, it’s very rare to find a beer with this much flavor and such a low abv. Taste is very big and very well balanced. Big burst of hoppiness, strong roasty malt backbone. Finishes extremely clean and smooth. Slightly above medium thickness, average or a bit higher on bitterness. Really really tasty brew.
