I see why they named it the way they name it. Take a Stone IPA, take away all the IPA taste, and this is what’s left. Its not quite pine, not quite citrus, and about to float away. dalfaro86 (309) - Mexico City, MEXICO - DEC 30, 2013
Pours a clear amber brew with a 1 finger beige head with good retention, aroma is moderate sweet and moderate bitter with caramel, pine and citrics, médium bodied, aroma is moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a bittersweet finish novice101 (308) - - APR 19, 2014
I would say this tasted more like pale ale than an amber ale, loads of hop character with some good malt background Odde (308) - Tampa, Florida, USA - NOV 21, 2009
dark amber with a beige head. somewhat thin. slight hops with a somewhate bolder malt base. enjoyable for what it is. ruskiimperial (308) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - NOV 23, 2009
This pours with a TON of foam that sticks around for up to half an hour. Smell is not very prevalent but there is some hints of citrus. The flavor has a very malty backboen in addition to some decent citrus hoppiness. A very pleasant sessionable beer.

Hoppy aromas, citrusy, caramel and malts there too. Medium head, leaves a nice lacing. Taste of hops and malt, palate is fullish. Overall pretty nice, I’d have another :) Prefer this to the stone pale ale. DubC5000 (305) - San Francisco, California, USA - AUG 25, 2007
Aroma: to the point. HOPS! I likened it to a Ruination without the alcohol content, basically a pared-down version of the aforementioned. A great beer for washing down particularly salty, accessible foods, say, gourmet onion rings or nachos. oOJUXEOo (303) - Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 9, 2010
Pours a fantastic deep amber. Head sticks to the glass, and does not want to let go. Hops are forefront in the aroma. Still well balanced with the malt. Very good beer. Mild beer in alcohol. beerandIT (300) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 3, 2009
Refreshing. Pours dark golden amber with just shy of half an inch of head. For such a light beer the head does stay around nicely. Hops on the nose but not a whole lot else. Laces the glass really well, especially for such a light beer. Leaves the palate in a way that I am not used to when it comes to Stone beer. Nice though for this style of beer, could be a bit more powerful, but what are you gonna do? burpfrank (299) - carpinteria, California, USA - AUG 5, 2006
This had a good head.Color was amber. Not a whole lot of aroma. It tasted pretty good, but I really like the IPA the best.
