Nice deep orange/amber in color. Pours with a gracious creamy head that quickly reduces to a frothy half inch. The smell is spicy and earthy along with sweetness and a hint of grapefruit rind. The flavor is sweet with a good balance of hops with the grapefruit rind flavor and moderate bitterness. I can detect a little bit of a chocolate favor as well. I like the mouthfeel and carbonation as compared to other ambers I have tried. Although I suppose this is more of a Pale Ale than an Amber Ale because of the IBU level. Its debatable and I will leave it up to the experts to make the classifications. I was a little disappointed when I first got home because I thought I was buying the Stone Ruination IPA. I got the names mixed up. Levitation was also on my list as is every Stone brew I havent yet tried. But I was not disappointed in any way with this beer. Ive been looking for a lower ABV brew like this to drink after a good long hike or ballgame. Or like Sheryl Crow would say:"the sun and the moon".

Purchased as part of a mixed 6pack at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins.
This pours from 12oz bottle a nice clear deep amber with a large head of foam that recedes slowly leaving a few small islands near the center and it has some lacing.
The smell is hoppy. I get a lot of grapefruit but I also get some caramel malt.
The taste on first sip is kind of strange. The initial flavour is rather empty of flavour, kind of watery but then, thankfully, the grapefruit hoppy goodness moves in near and through the finish though it's at a subdued level. Hey, this is only 4.4%abv so I expected some kind of reduction in what was going to hit my taste buds and it sure makes this Ale a good for sessioning candidate *if* the flavour that's there is enough to please. Imho, it passes that test. I'd buy it again. ads135 (5031) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - AUG 30, 2017
A very solid amber ale. Plenty of malty body, typical of an easy drinking amber, but it has a nice grassy hop punch as well. john44 (3402) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 7, 2017
Draft Third of a Pint at GBBF 2009 (Day 1), Earl’s Court, London Aug 2009 - And Bottle - Deep Amber in colour. Malty base/backbone; roasty malts, caramel. Hoppy; big grapefruit citrus hop flavours; grassy hops. Nice malt/hops balance. Dry hoppy finish. Much hoppier than expected. Surprisingly flavoursome for a low-ABV beer. Very drinkable. Nice beer! Punaisenruskea kirkas olut paksulla, höttöisellä ja pitsiä jättävällä vaahdolla. Kaunis olut. Lore (2898) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 17, 2016
darker amber colour, moderate sized yellowish head; aroma of toast, resins, floral and biscuity notes, some roasted nuts, too. taste is the same- mild roasted toasty and malty; easily drinkable good amber ale

0.355l bottle. Clear amber body, lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toast, reisins and citruses. Taste of caramel, toast, citruses and even some roasted malts. Light medium bodied. Easy to drink. Quite nice. Cristobal37 (1235) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 16, 2016
UPDATED: APR 16, 2016 Thanks Lagzibacsi! Light brown. Very sweet flaky malty aroma. Sweet syrup on the nose. Long sweet malts and mild bitterness. Really sessionable. Balanced nice a bit sweet for me, but a good 12 pack beer. Viper666 (3289) - Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 6, 2016

Citrus aroma and flavour. Nice brown appearance and quite bitter on palate. Overall strength poor and lasting taste quite chemical unfortunately.
