Cleaning out some old ratings. Pour at the Stone Company Store (2/9/14). Dark amber pour with a thick off white head. Was told by the server that this is the first lager Stone has ever done. Nice malty nose. Great malty taste without being sweet. Very drinkable. Spab (3962) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 7, 2015
1 L can from brewery. Pours a brilliant copper colour with moderate-sized eggshell-coloured head. Aroma is toasty bread, fruity malt and lots of nuttiness. Flavour is big and malty with lots of gently toasty bread, sweet fruit, lots of nuttiness and caramel. Body maybe a tick above medium. Nice one. asheft (3097) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 3, 2015
On tap at Liberty Station. Amber malt aroma with some toast and faint nuttiness and fruitiness. Clear orange amber under a thin white sheet and collar. Toasty and lightly nutty amber malt flavour and moderate bitterness. Medium light body, medium carbonation, smooth at first and then drying out a bit at the end. tiong (7433) - Espoo, FINLAND - AUG 31, 2015

Pours reddish orange with a smooth head. Aroma of strawberries, malts and syrup. Taste is sweet with loads of strawberry notes, malts and caramel. Finish sweetish and malty with some juicy strawberry notes. Too much strawberries here.

Pours clear copper color with a small head. Nuts and bread on the nose, hops, and grains. Caramel on the flavor, quite sweet, some malts and sweet fruits. Too sweet.
Draught as "Mättzen" @ Stone Tasting Room, San Diego, CA. Pours a copper colour with a small head. Aroma of toasted malts, bread and a bit of nuttiness. As it warms up just a couple of degrees some strawberry notes appear. Flavour of toasted malts, bread, graininess and syrupy sweetness. Strawberry flavours too. Medium bodied. Dry and sweet. Strawberry should not be here, thus fail. slowrunner77 (12451) - Reno, Nevada, USA - AUG 31, 2015
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2016 A surprisingly superb example of the style. Had a good ballast point okto before this and this was both clearly better and just a better example of the style. Rich malt, toffee, toast and a crisp finish. Capa (3329) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - AUG 27, 2015
Deep orange with a firm white head. Lightly toasted malts, some weak sweet fruit, grain, and a bit of booze. Full bodied. Finishes quite bitter and lasting. Good brew. blipp (9501) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 13, 2015
Draft at Liberty Station. Pours amber with a thin head. Toasted and lightly sweet malts, low bitterness, some bready notes, mild herbal notes, and a relatively clean finish. Pretty good. jandd1983 (4442) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - DEC 8, 2014
It poured a copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was of bread, toast, caramel and toffee with some malt sweetness. The taste was of mild yeast, fruit esters and some light floral hops. There were some fruity esters, yeast, a light spice quality and a nice floral hoppiness. Tasty.
