COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Loral hops were released in 2016 and quickly became one of our brewers’ favorite varieties. It was highlighted in our single hop IPA series, Stone Hop Revolver IPA, and was the featured hop in the hugely popular Stone Ghost Hammer IPA. Then there’s Dr. Rudi, which has been around since 1976. Originally known as Super Alpha, this hop brings classic piney and herbal notes, which pairs it perfectly with the oral, citrusy aroma of Loral. A pairing like this was bound to happen. Some might even call it inevitable.

Bottle sampled in a glass, this IPA2 was a clear-orange gold in the glass, it had a white cover, the nose had aromas of orange, pineapple, pine and peach hops, hops had some floral and wet grass notes, medium malt and some bread, fruit and sugar sweetness, the flavors were lemon, guava, pine and resin hops, hops had a hint of orange, medium malt and some bread, malt and sugar sweetness, medium or so hop bitterness at the finish, this drink had a medium mouth feel, there was average carbonation, and it was creamy on the lips, this beer was ok, it was not a standout drink.

Mild orange nose. Clear amber, firm medium head. Orange, hibiscus, lilly. Medium body, easy carbonation, alcohol well concealed. Slightly perfumey, but a nice Imperial IPA. Very drinkable.

Rated on 02-18-2018. Bottle. The appearance is a medium sized white head that is mostly lasting, transparent golden amber body, lively, fast rising carbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, some pine, fruity, grapefruit, earthy, grassy, floral, hops, caramel, and malt. The flavor presents moderate bitterness, citrus hops, fruity, pine, earthy, grapefruit, lightly sweet, caramel, and malt. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, tingly and clean. This beer is medium bodied. This beer is most drinkable with a lingering bitterness. It is very tasty, refreshing, worth trying, and a beer that I would purchase again and again.

Pleasantly bitter, crisp, not too dry. Hoppy, resinous, herbal, Well rounded beer, nothing missing, ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

@ Lafayette San Diego 18-2-17: Inte så illa ipa med fina humletoner och tydlig frukt

mcberko (20260) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 17, 2018
12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal, piney hops, light grass, and biscuity malt. Flavour is loaded with herbal, grassy hops, skunk cabbage, and biscuity malt. Way too herbal and just nastily vegetal. This is quite terrible.

Very good double IPA, makes me reconsider my choices in life and why I have not enjoyed beer such as this more often. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
