Lukcy Basartd is a dry-hopped meeting-of-the-Bastards in a in-the-fermenter-blend of Arrogant Bastard Ale and Double Bastard Alewith a perfect balance of the essence of OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale. All in all, one awesome Bastard.

Lukcy Basartd Ale will be released in November and should be available in many of the enlightened locations where the liquid Arrogance is typically found.

This is a once only special release commemorating the 13 year anniversary of when Arrogant Bastard Ale was first released upon the unsuspecting public. That is, once only unless we decide to make it again.

Pours a dark, translucent, brownish-copper on tap with frothy off-white head and great lacing. Aroma of strong citrus and pine hops, heavy roasted malts, nice oaky vanilla finish. Taste follows, with a bitter, almost astringant finish and a lingering blend of spice. Interesting, good, glad I got to try it.

22oz bottle: Deep amber or brown. Good head and lace. Big caramel, malty nose. This bottle has some age and the nose is pretty integrated. Very rich malty palate. Significant bitterness. very long and intense. Its dark. I cant see the oak. Theres a meal in every glass.

Strong hoppy aroma, woody, piney, and citrus. With bready and caramel hops. Pours a dark ruby color with small off white head. Strong alcohol flavor with piney hop, woody, bready malt. Full bodied medium co2, lingering woody hop. I prefer arrogant bastard. This is a bit much for my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Nose of caramel, oak, dark fruit, esp. cherry, some alcohol fumes, and maybe something lightly phenolic. Light mahogany color, beige head, spotty lace. Flavors of caramel, oak, light citrus, dark fruit, very rugged hopping, burnt sugar, and seroious deep bittering in finish. Medium body. Very rich stuff. But at the same time a bit muddled. Seem stronger than 8.5%.

Beautiful pour from a bottle. A bit of honey in the aroma. Flavor has initial brown sugar sweetness but balanced by a hoppy bitterness in the finish.

Bottled. Pours clear mahagony with a small, lacing beige head. Aroma of toasted caramel, orange zest, wood and piney notes. Sweet flavor that ends up being more dry and bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Ale. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

The brilliant, beautiful bastards at Stone never fail me with their Bastard releases. Lucky Bastard basically looks like everything else in the lineup - ruby red color and excellent retention of of the creamy tan-colored foam. Earthy hop aromatics and caramel malt on the nose. The taste showcases earthy, piney hops and faintly chocolaty malt. Theres quite a lot of bitterness coming from the hops, but its restrained by the fat malt. Stone proves, once again, that its good to be a bastard.

I think I may like this better than regular bastard. Nice fresh cone hop aroma. Clear dark red, nice real nice carbonation with off white head. Wonderful mouthfeel of hops and malts.
