COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously known as Liberty Station 2nd Anniversary Mocha IPA, now a distributed Stone brand.

Clearly, style lines have been crossed. Is it half-IPA, half-stout? Not quite. Itís definitely all IPA, but itís also the best of both styles, making this love child of a beer simply just a beautiful, pleasure-seeking meld of imperial IPA and mocha indulgence. How did we come up with this inexplicably delicious creation? Well, that doesnít really matter. What matters is that it exists and that itís here for you now, thanks to our deliberate disregard for brewing norms. Some things are not meant to be known, just enjoyed...thoroughly.

Strangely alluring DIPA, dipping a toe in stout-like chocolate roasty goodness, but playing these elements off your typical bright Stone hop bomb. Starts with a quick burst of orange-tangerine sweetness, then quickly dives into mocha territory, coffee and cocoa adding dark beer depth to the IPA. Never begins to resemble a black IPA, however; the mocha accentuates the hops without overtaking them. Finishes with a firm piney bitterness, bitter bakerís chocolate circling the clingy IBUs. Much more well-rounded and accessible than their previous Enjoy By IPA with Coffee and Chocolate. A bit sandpapery on the finish, but the alcoholís mostly hidden and the subtle sweetness grows as it warms. Tasty brew.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is slight pine hop with some coffee. Flavor is all coffee up front with a bitter, pine hop finish.

Tap at Dogs Bollocks. Hazy amber with white head. Big sweet syruppy malty, with a lot of mocha and firm coffee notes. Big sweet, moderate bitter. Over medium body, big malty, gelly, soft and creamy with soft carbonation. Quite nice!

grassy citrus caramel aroma..nice amber orange appearance with foamy white head..taste..would work better if the IPA wasnít such a hop bomb along with the mocha and a citrus and stringent one at that.palate..smooth..overall..a nice hoppy ipa with a hint of cocoa

Sampled at HOB, pours a copper color with medium head and alright lacing. Nose and flavor were roasted malt, pine, coffee, light vanilla, caramel and spicy hops. A sample was more than enough. Not bad, just donít want to drink a mocha ipa in any qty

Tap at brewery. Deep orangey golden with decent head. Smells of cat piss, cocoa powder, vanilla. Bitter some mild chocolate. A little hot. I feared this would be disgusting but itís not.

Pouring at Sierra Nevada Beer Camp 2016 in Boston. Soft cocoa, roast, coffee on the nose. Medium bodied, chocolate milk, cocoa. Coffee, lactose sweetness, roast, chocolate, tastes like a stout with some soft hops, a bit of soft citrus bitterness. Very much a mind-boggler, and in a good way.

On tap at Stone Brewing Berlin. Comes with a cloudy orange color and a nice white head. The nose has a lot of dark roasted coffee, ripe fruits of peach and apricot, some bitter orange-peel. something very refreshing, nice hops. Taste is nice as well: Dark coffee, lots of sweet fruits in the beginning, followed by more bitter ctitrus-peels. Dark coffe and chocoloat. Nice dry hops and fruit finish! Yeah!

From a bottle. Delicious, nothing else to say really, you must drink this if you like this sort of stuff.
