Crisp, clear amber and copper coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of very pleasant chocolate along with some biscuity malt, a small amount of hops and a lot of alcohol - more of the chocolate than anything though. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong biting chocolate bitterness at first with a nice hop backbone showing some grassy and piney hops along with a big malt flavour and more pungent malt and alcohol finish - strong throughout, but the bitterness from both the chocolate and hos is very noticeable. Aftertaste shows some light coffee and grassy flavours with some alcohol and more pungent malt than anything else. Overall, a nice (surprising, giving it’s a stone beer) IPA that shows a balance of chocolate and malt somehow, with some moderate hops, but the alcohol and body support this one well. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 31-May-2017 for US$3,75 sampled in my hotel room here in Richmond, Virginia on 19-August-2017. dojken (571) - SWEDEN - AUG 14, 2017
Flaska i Biskopsbacken. Doftar tång med choklad hur det nu är möjligt. Smakar först bärigt, känns som jordgubbe, sedan choklad o eftersmaken så landar kaffet. En annorlunda dipa men otroligt god o spännande. dmac (6337) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - AUG 13, 2017
12oz bottle from Xroads. Poured a slightly opaque deep orangey amber with a smaller off white foamy head. Aroma seems to be more choclate malts that coffee. Lots of toast, grains, grassy hops, citrus rind. Flavor takes a big switch and has a nice coffee and choclate note with citrus hops. Bigger body, average to stronger carbonation. Glad to see this listed as an Imperial IPA because without looking a 9% IPA is Imperial in my eyes. ultradi (1) - - AUG 12, 2017 does not count
Got at specialty beer store on Flag. Had just a taste but liked. Get again.

This is an interesting brew! Poured the brew from its 12 fl oz bottle into a tulip glass - quite a overflowed as the excessive carbonation caused the froth to spill out once the cap was popped. The appearance is an almost clear golden amber, topped with an off-white head of froth. Aromas a distinctly lightly roasted coffee, and grapefruit and citrus hops underneath that initial coffee rush. Tastes are even more complex and multi-layered, starting off with a mix of sweet coffee and chocolate in a mocha brew, then followed by the grapefruit, and finally piney light bitter in the finish. An amazing combo as each of the aromas and flavours are actually quite distinct and not mashed up together. An outstanding brew!

Pours a hazy golden Amber with a tan head. Aroma has a faint scent of coffee. Wow. Creamy mouthfeel taste is sweet almost like lactose was used in the fermentation. Similar to a stout without the aftertaste. The combination leaves a slightly minty note in the finish. I'm moles and interesting. Didn't think I'd like it but it's very drinkable.

Strong mocha aroma with ground malts with and candy hop complement. Interesting IPA, not not one I would drink more than one of. phranq (249) - - AUG 3, 2017
Light coffee in the nose of this khaki pour. Tatse is the same with a nicely ballanced hop finish. Bacchus66 (552) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 2, 2017
From tap @ ADT. Clear golden amber with a full off white head and good lacing. Roasted coffee aromas backed with citrus hops. Flavors also coffee driven with chocolate notes and a clean bitter hops profile. Medium bodied, low-medium carb. Finish a cocoa and bitter chocolate. Alcohol is well hidden. Very well done. bergstaden (3035) - Røros, NORWAY - JUL 31, 2017
