Previously known as Liberty Station 2nd Anniversary Mocha IPA, now a distributed Stone brand.

Clearly, style lines have been crossed. Is it half-IPA, half-stout? Not quite. It’s definitely all IPA, but it’s also the best of both styles, making this love child of a beer simply just a beautiful, pleasure-seeking meld of imperial IPA and mocha indulgence. How did we come up with this inexplicably delicious creation? Well, that doesn’t really matter. What matters is that it exists and that it’s here for you now, thanks to our deliberate disregard for brewing norms. Some things are not meant to be known, just enjoyed...thoroughly.

Amber with 2" of caramel colored head. Aroma is intensely red grapefruit, with an undertone of coffee. Tastes pretty much like it smells, with warming alcohol into the finish. $3/12oz ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from McHughs. Pours cloudy amber with white head. Aroma is coffee, pine hop, earth, vanilla, slight clove, Christmas spice in there. Flavour is a creamy coffee with some chocolate biscuits caramel earth sweetness. Drying coffee finish. Unusual.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2017 Poured from 12oz bottle into tulip glass. Deep golden color with light lacing. Aroma is coffee and chocolate (as one would expect) I was surprised to like this as much as I did. Coffee and chocolate flavor throughout with a slight hoppy bite. Bitterness lingers . 9% is a surprise as well . More drinkable and enjoyable than I thought. Stone continues to deliver.

SpringsLicker (3677) - Tennessee, USA - OCT 30, 2017
Bottle. Copper pour with a tall, off-white head. Interesting aroma, coffee, cocoa, orange marmalade and vanilla. Interesting flavor too.First is a dry, dark roast coffee and hop bitterness. Finishes with hoppy bitterness like an IPA.

Standard longneck, faux painted label with the usual small-print blather from the Stone Dude. Clear, intense bronze pour, with a dissipating oatmeal colored head. Earthy, fruity, coffeeish-acidic carob aroma. Frothy milk chocolate up front, sturdy bittering takes a backseat initially but then emerges over time. Acidic, somewhat buffered. The beer then moves on to a coldbrew/blonde coffee cast. Bittersweet finish. Interesting, offbeat, warming. ABC Liquors, Bull Run.

Excelente cerveza ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

zvikar (6444) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - OCT 8, 2017
Pours brown with a beige head, aroma of chocolate, coffee, chilli, tangerine, flavor is slightly bitter with coffee, green coffee, cocoa, tangerine, medium bodied, nice

jbethea (69) - Miami, Florida, USA - OCT 3, 2017
Clear red brown. nose is glazed doughnuts, Sweet malty backbone offset by cacao and finishes off with a relatively mild hop presence. Its not bad, but not nearly as good as most of what stone puts out there. I don't love the mocha- we can do better things with the IPA. Leave mocha to the stouts n porters. 9 % is heavy for a beer ya don't love. Could be toned down a bit IMO.

CObiased (543) - Bayfield, Colorado, USA - OCT 1, 2017
12oz bottle - it pours a clear almost amber orange with thick fluffy off white home. A mixed aroma of goodness like pine, citrus, sweet malt and a whiff of chocolate. Interesting flavors...the initial taste is pine sap and citrus zest then notes of mocha arrive with a meld of smooth chocolate and a hint of coffee. Delicious and unique.

danjs5 (296) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 15, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 15, 2017 A great beer with hints of coffee, chocolate nuts, hops, citrus and honey. Although a relatively mainstream gimmicky experience, it is able to pull it off with good flavours. Plenty of sweetness balance.
