On tap at churchkey. This is a beer that really mellows with age and becomes really great, and the red wine adds to it! Mellow malts, some hops left and a red tint thats unusual. Lots of really complex, subtle flavors, flowers, fruit, little bit of bitterness form the red wine. Not a big nose, but thats ok, once you start drinking its very tasty!

Tap at the RnH Stone Takeover. Reddish bronze pour with a thin off-white head. Massively thick aroma of coconut and toffee with oak. It was simple and sweet, but I could have sniffed it all day. Flavor is predominantly toffee with pine. Slightly astringent, and the sweet notes make way for a hop bomb finish. A slight tannin quality to it too. I would have preferred the coconut quality I got in the nose to come out a bit more in the flavor.

Tap at Small Bar. Pours amber with a small head. Aroma of sweet malt, heavy caramel, only light hops and light wood. I got a little bit of wood, and flavor from the red wine barrel, but nothing overpowering. Decent brew.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a small, fizzy cream colored head, no retention or lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, cookie, bread), average hops (floral, pine), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of alcohol and wine. Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, caramel), heavy hops (floral, pine, citruus), and average esters with notes of wine and plum. Full body, high warmth, medium carbonation, low creaminess with a dry and biting finish.

2007 Vintage. On tap at Stones last stop of the Total Tap Takeover Tour Thingy. Pours with a hazy amber body with a lasting white head. Aroma is woody, chewy, wine, raisins, dark fruit and caramel. Flavors are alcohol, big, chewey, dark fruits and more alcohol. Dry and great!.

on tap at DLD 09 and alewife for the stone total tap takeover 10. pours a hazy, orange-gold with a creamy, yellow-white head and sticky lacing. aroma is great with fresh, sticky, pine hops, wet greass, and blood oranges backed by elegant red wine, tannins, plums, and light toffee. flavor is fantastic with the fruity red wine notes perfectly integrated with notes of oak, vanilla, pine esters, and citrus hops with toasted toffee coming in late and the wine tannins adding a unique tartness to the finish. palate is smooth, medium bodied, and lightly carbonation with just a touch of heat. overall, a great wine barrel aged brew.
