TBone (17440) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 3, 2006
Bottled. Dark amber color, small white head. Rye malty, alcoholic aroma. Malty, ryeish, alcoholic - American hops are there. Boring, yet another strong American beer.

chrisv10 (17299) - DENMARK - FEB 25, 2011
Bottle. Deep amber with small off-white head. Flavour is malt, sweet, caramel, hops, bitter. fruit and pine.

Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 19, 2004
Golden bronze, thin head. Chewy, resiny aroma with oatmeal cookie dough. Deep resiny hop palate with that tongue-scraping bitterness that extends past the taste threshold. Rich malts in the finish with alcoholic warmth. I’ve had too many beers like this.

mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 14, 2010
22 oz. bottle, pours a peachy amber with a small head. Aroma of dried fruits (apricot, peaches), potent hops, and caramel malts. Flavour is supremely complex- apricot, grapefruit, orange, caramel malts and strong hops.

yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 22, 2011
Bottle, 22oxz. An almost clear one, copper in color and with a minimal sized off-white to beige head. Caramel, dried fruits, alcohol and some fluor on the nose, rather hoppy, still balanced. Flavorwise it’s pretty much the same, alcohol, caramel, dried fruits and sweetness. Warming and full-bodied. The finish has a nice bitterness, some notes of fluor and a certain malty sweetness. A delicious beer indeed, although a bit sweet. 110722

brokensail (16435) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 11, 2010
2007 Vintage: A: A nice amber color without much head to speak of and hardly any lacing. S: Extremely malty and sweet caramel, the hoppiness that is usually present in this beer when fresh is almost gone. T: Lots of malty sweetness, caramel, toffee, and some very slight bitterness. M: Almost syrupy--very full bodied with low carbonation. D: Much more drinkable than it’s fresh counterpart, but obviously not something you’re going to have several of.

Dedollewaitor (16056) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 27, 2009
Bottle. Trade with Baggio. Pours unclear orange amber with a small creamy lasting white head. Vinous, strong, sweet, matured, fruity, complex, smooth. Fine balance. Very nice and sippable.

FatPhil (15965) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 10, 2015
660ml bottle (Alko, Arkadia) - 2012 release, drunk 2015-03
Beautiful rich malty barley wine aroma, nice bitter hopping to that too. Hazy orange, odd, it should have settled for ever. Massively soapy taste. Bitterness very resiny. Drinkability remarkable for a 12% beer, no heat or even warmth. But it’s not too sweet and sticky either to cover it. Sure, it’s chewy with toffee and caramel, but that just fits with the classic BW feel. Shame about the soapiness, othewise this would have been great.

MiP (15650) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 19, 2006
Bottle, 11.26%. Quite malty aroma, some bonbon/caramel. Red amber colour. Very bonbony flavour and aftertaste, caramellized sugar, quite sweet. Nice, but a bit too bitter.

Benzai (15458) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUL 10, 2011
Bottle 2010. Hazy dark orange color, maybe light red. Smell hops, caramel, light alcohol. Taste hops, little alcohol, little fruits. Nice mouthfeel. High but pretty ok carbonation.
