Copper Coloring with White Ring. Sweet Malt, Dry Hop. Heavy Dry Mouthfeel and Malty Aftertaste. Nice Solid Pale Ale. blankboy (7808) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 20, 2005
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear orange-amber with an average size lasting off-white head. Very pleasant aroma of fresh citrus hops with a nice amount of caramel malt to balance it out. Delicious flavour starts hoppy followed by some sweet maltiness and ends with a nice bitterness. Well balanced and medium bodied. One of Stone’s mellower beers, it would make for a great session ale. GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 19, 2005
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, tupalev & jerc - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Colour of orange pekoe tea with a moderate off-white head. Aroma holds a mellow, pleasant hoppiness - a little soapy, but not in a bad way. Flavour has a great malt-hop balance, with a slightly earthy taste and a nice bitterness that sneaks up on you as the beer warms. Again, a fine US ale that would be an instant session beer for me if the lunkheads at the LCBO actually started carrying it... badgerben (5328) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 16, 2005
Copper color with no head. Grainy aroma with a slight hop end. The taste is overwhelemed with a bland grain smoothie-like taste. Some earthy hops, but not enough to counteract the bad part. Disappointing. Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 16, 2005
Shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc, Hogtown Harry, courtesy of Harry. Dark orange, small bubbly white head. Nice pleasant strong hop aroma. Really pleasant malt and hop taste - well balanced, mild, and enjoyable. Earthy tea-like hops in taste. Very good without going anywhere near over the top - would love to have a pint or two.

Bottle. Deep orange body with a small white head. Mited resionous hops inthe aroma. Pleasant bitterness, with slight caramel malt in the finish. Mild fruity citrus. Average palate. Flavour seems to be cumulative, in that the complexity grows the faster I drink and diminishes when I pause to take notes. Pleasant, but lacks the oomph of their other products. Strikes me as something a pint would do better justice too though. Glad to try it even though it underwhelmed. HogTownHarry (7065) - Toronto (Harbourfront), CANADA - DEC 15, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 20, 2005 Bottle (650ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc, tupalev - courtesy of yours truly. Poured cloudy red-amber-orange with a large lasting foamy-bubbly off-white head. Aroma of typical rich, resiny citrus hops, solid malt backbone, touch of sourness - straightforward but nice. Taste is a solid if unspectacular west coast pale ale - plenty of malt, the bitterness is there but not overwhelming - very easy drinking. Creamy, average body. Very nice, not their best but a pleasant mild session brew. TipsyMcStager (1139) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 12, 2005
nice pine aroma. Pours a nice amber with a foamy head. Goes down easy. Sweetish in the middle. Nice hop presence. Enjoyable SuIIy (1984) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - DEC 11, 2005
12oz bottle from Santa! Pours a dark orange color with a thin white foamy head. A center stream of very tiny bubbles move quickly towards the surface. Nose is light apricot, some thick sweet malt notes, caramel, little bit of grass. A nice full mouthfeel. A candy like taste, quite sweet, notes of orange seeds, light tangerine, quite fruity and sweet. A nmice bitterness in the finish that spreads from your throat to the tip of your tongue. Pours with a rocky off-white head with lots of lacing on a golden body. Strong aroma of hops with some spices. Good malty flavor with hints of hops on a solid body. Very drinkable.
