Pours a dark amber colour with a white head. Bready aroma at first but then a wave of hops. Nice bittersweet balance! Niko100 (3012) - Chicago, New York, USA - MAR 2, 2015
Hazy amber/orange color; Medium slight creamy body; Aroma of malt, caramel, hops, & citrus; Flavor of slight sweet malt, caramel, hops, citrus, and some fruit; Finish is slightly bitter; Nicely balanced; Great session ale. superspak (6208) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - FEB 27, 2015
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 2/16/2015. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, caramel, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus hops and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, pine, floral, grass, caramel, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, and floral/toasted earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, pine, caramel, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp/sticky, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale. All around good balance, complexity, and robustness of citrus/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering. ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - FEB 21, 2015

Had on tap at Luxbar. Have to say one of my favorite Pale Ale....very smooth, creamy head.. ANJELICA (5) - brighton, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 23, 2015 does not count
just discovering pale ales vs ipas. IPAs hit you over the head with hops (which I love), but pale ales let you enjoy the other elements as well. Stone Pale ale gives you a great malt nose and a hop finish. My favorite Pale Ale so far.

Bottle from cellarbrations super store in hami hill. Pours a rich amber with a slight white head leaving some nice lacing. Smell is rich malty goodness with hints of caramel and subtle citrus notes. Carbonation is mild and it's fairly light bodied. Taste is very malt forward. Rich toffee notes with a slight citrus backing make for a delightful pale! gregwilsonstl (2707) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Amber. Delicious pale ale. Sourdough bread crust. Caramel. Bitter citrus. Bold. maekchu (4098) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JAN 7, 2015
Bottle from Sake Taniguchi (World Beer Market). Fruity nose, light grassy hop, caramel (, and some fumes!?). Clear orange/amber color, thin white head, and some lace. Thin malty initial, very gentle hopping -- which intensifies in mid palate, hints of orange peel. Medium body. Maybe this isn’t in the best condition? Or is it supposed to taste this ... aged?
