Bottle, 12oz at Patricks. A dense, finger-thick off-white head sits on top of a copper coloured, clear body. Cute lacings. The aroma has a pleasant malty backbone, with piney, resiny and grassy hops. A but on the amber ale side, but pleasant anyway. The flavour had some caramel maltiness as a foundation for grassy, piney hops and some bitterness. Full body, soft on the palate. Some bitterness in the finish, would like it to be more, but it’s nice anyway. A pleasant one indeed, but a bit old-style for me. 120830 jtclockwork (16685) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 19, 2011
Bottle. Pours clear amber. White head. Nose and taste of hops, caramel malt and pine. Dryish finish. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 24, 2011
A: The beer pours a light amber color with a finger of two of white head and some nice lacing.
S: Nowhere near as hoppy as many of the other Stone beers, but that probably works out for the best. It’s still got a nice citrus and floral hop character along with a bit of pine. A fair amount of toasted and caramel malts providing sweetness.
T: The flavor is lightly sweet with a lot of bread and toast, a bit caramel forward, too. Citrus hops with a light pine bitterness and some floral character lightens things up.
M: Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
O: Not an overly aggressive pale, but a good, solid pale ale. FatPhil (16351) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 14, 2013

Sweet caramelly aroma. Bright orange, floaty bits, Watery palate. Toffe and some walnut papers at first.. But after the first sip it’s just sweet water with some hint of hops. Another uninteresting APA.
Draught, 5.4%. Weak caramelly aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Very small white head. The flavour is also slightly caramelly. Good bitterness. Clean and well-balanced.

Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas during the three day Stone Event, 16-18 september 2011. Clear golden color, nice full head that leaves lacing. Smell a bit rancid, not really fresh. Taste bitter, but not fruity. Bit boring. Ok carbo, low body. bhensonb (15336) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 4, 2007
Nice medium aroma of hop and malt. More than many APAs. Light copper color with a transient white head. The remains laced a bit. Starts with malt, somewhat balanced by hop. A bit musty, woody. The finish is a bit malty for my taste. Good drink though. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2008
Bottle at Millennium Hotel in Boulder. Clear dark amber - white head. Chocolate, cocoa, nice malty, nice hoppy, bitterness, resin, wood. Powerfulllll finish. Nice. djd07 (15067) - Houston, Texas, USA - SEP 30, 2008
On tap at flying saucer. Has a clear amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is verry hoppy and sweet with caramel. Good lacing on the glass. The taste is very hoppy with a dry finish. Easy to drink for a good session beer. A good pale ale from stone.

Bottle at BrewDog Camden. It pours clear deep amber, with a thick beige head. The nose is resin, straw, pine, floral, grass and brown bread. The taste is grass, pine, hay, straw, more grass, citrus pith and grapefruit, with a long bitter-dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A good pale ale, but perhaps a bit too dry.
