(10/31/08) Draught at Lucky Devils in Hollywood. Slightly hazy amber color with a medium stable off-white head. Nice floral hoppy aroma with some citrus and a bit of malt. Sweetish malty flavor at first with some caramel and bready notes and later turns to pleasant moderate hoppy bitterness. Rounded-bodied. Bottle at BrewDog Camden. It pours clear deep amber, with a thick beige head. The nose is resin, straw, pine, floral, grass and brown bread. The taste is grass, pine, hay, straw, more grass, citrus pith and grapefruit, with a long bitter-dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A good pale ale, but perhaps a bit too dry. imdownthepub (14555) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2011
Bottled, 355ml from Burg Bieren, Ermelo, Netherlands. Brownish amber with off white head. Finally got to try the original and although there is a soft, tropical fruity hoppiness the thing that really strikes is the malty sweetness, way above what I was expecting. Almost candy like, the hops try to cut through but they are a little masked. A little disappointed really. djd07 (14521) - Houston, Texas, USA - SEP 30, 2008
On tap at flying saucer. Has a clear amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is verry hoppy and sweet with caramel. Good lacing on the glass. The taste is very hoppy with a dry finish. Easy to drink for a good session beer. A good pale ale from stone.

Tap. Deep amber color with medium white head. Great aroma of complex hops and sweet. Flavor was full and the finish was long and pleasent. I will be seeking out more of Stone brews. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 11, 2003
If, as the bottle say, this is their flagship beer, how come I can get every other of their non-seasonal except this one?! Regardless, hazy copper body topped by small beige head. Big hoppy aroma (grapefruit/flowery), supported by mild sweetness. Flavor is medium flowery hoppy, with hints of peach and grapefruit. Chewy body. No attempt to overwhelm you, which is somewhat unexpected in a Stone brew. Instead, what they've given is a delicious full-bodied beer. Drake (13739) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 30, 2007
Bottle. Very nice balance of hops and malt. Delicious. One of my favorites. Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 26, 2007
Cask-GBBF. Golden with a small white head. Pine, grass and even some moss in the aroma. Dry with a herbal bitterness. kermis (13480) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 7, 2012
Bottle shared at The Rover, Goteberg. Clear amber pour with a white head. Fresh hoppy malty aroma. Same in flavour, well balanced and easily drinkable.
