2007. Golden brown beer with a lightly fruity and malty aroma and a golden beer malty flavour. Overall an OK fruity and malty beer.
Cask @ GBBF ’07. Dark amber colour with off-white head. Aroma is malt / hops. Taste is fruity / hops / malty. Pretty good PA, although not the best on offer. DownsouthGav (601) - Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2007

GBBF. Nose of hops, fruit and citrus. Pours a cloudy amber colour. Taste is light and fruity. Hops are fresh. A nice American pale ale.
12oz bottle thanks to kmweaver for this extra. pours amber with creamy white head. nose is doughy malt and some citrus and peppery hop notes. flavor is malty at times almost harsh, lacks much of a hop presence otherthan a crisp finish. just decent stuff. mattmc1973 (479) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - MAY 26, 2008
12 oz bottle, pours deep amber with beige foamy head, which mostly dissipated and left mild lacing. Aroma of malt and hops, similar to Arrogant Bastard, but milder. Taste of bitter hops, mouthfeel a bit watery, but smooth. Is a decent pale ale, but not as great as I would have expected, since I’m a fan of Arrogant Bastard/Double Bastard. Just OK.

A nice looking copper red beer with a small head. The aroma is a mild hoppiness, with floral and spicy notes. The flavor is mostly malt with a bit of hop bitterness. A bit thin in the mouthfeel. Not offensive in any way, but not intense in any way. I’m a much bigger fan of the IPA, ruination, or arrogant/double bastard. ucusty (2693) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - SEP 19, 2008
4th NC rating in a row. What did this stuff just become available here? Clear amber pour, white head and spotty lace. Malty aroma. Light bodied. Bready flavor with light hop notes Boutip (6628) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 22, 2008
Bottle: Poured a deep hazy orangey color ale with an average foamy head with average retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of Cascade hops with some caramel malt also discernable. Taste is a mix between some caramel malt with some dominating Cascade hops which provide a citrusy and bitter taste. Full body with some average carbonation. Good but drinkability good have been better – too full too be a session beer and too light in terms of hops to be truly interesting. BossHossBikes (148) - California, USA - SEP 22, 2008
Bottle. Pours a translucent orange with a quickly diminishing off-white head. The aroma is very vegetal with hints of a fruit citrus and some caramel. Bitterness bites the tongue as soon as the brew comes in contact. The flavour is a balance of vegetables, fruit citrus (such as orange), hops, and malts with some hints of pine. The finish introduces some of the caramel flavours as the bitterness quickly fades and the maltiness becomes a little more prevalent.
I like balance in some beers. But I personally like my pale ales to be imbalanced with hops blasting you right in the face. This is just "ok." Fruitfly (59) - , Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 30, 2008
Attractive red amber beer with lasting fine head. Caramel malt aroma with a mild hint of yeast. Hops are mild and very slightly citrusy. Lighter than expected body but still just sufficient maltiness to maintain a decent range. Moderate finish. A good but not an exceptional beer.
