Bottle. Pours copper with a frothy white head. There are aromas of caramel, cut grass, bready tones and floral hops. It really smells fantastic. Flavors start off slightly malty but then lean heavily on nuttiness, bready tones and some rather herbally floral hops. Clean, hoppy, dry finish. Clean, but slightly oily mouthfeel. The hops kind of coat the tongue, which isn’t a bad thing. Overall, this is a very nice pale ale, but I find myself wanting just a bit more malt character. But don’t get me wrong. This one is a keeper. psbrewing (1) - Kentucky, USA - OCT 20, 2014 does not count

Great beer overall. One of my all time favorites and will continue to be in my rotation. Would highly recommend as a gateway beer to the Pale world. ordybill (1738) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - FEB 21, 2015
Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Hops and citrus, great smell
Appearance- Pours an amber color with no sediment with a small white head.
Taste- Has a really good hop flavor that is balanced with the citrus.
Palate- This beer is a light to medium bodied with moderate carbonations and a dry finish.
Overall- A really good pale ale, nice flavor, I would drink this often..

I am going to miss this old friend. Pale 2.0 is bad. This one was great pine and subtle floral hop aroma. Taste of light malts and super fresh hops. Great dry finish, a superb pale ale. Sorry to see it go. tsd08460 (1134) - Marshall, Virginia, USA - AUG 30, 2015

pours amber, slightly hazy, thick frothy head, good amount of carbonation and good lacing left behind. the aroma is extremely hoppy, very strong smell and some slight citrus. the taste is very hoppy and bitter up front and sort of grassy. the beer is thick as well.. One of my new favorite beers! lesifflebiere (1874) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 10, 2013
Pours copper-red with lasting lace. Sweet malty nose and citrusy hops. Huge caramel malt mash bill, almost like a slice of sticky toffee pudding. Overall, a great example of style if your PA style is maximum malt. grundsow (130) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2014
Bottle. Enjoyed this pale ale. Good and bitter, light and tasty. Not the best, not the worst. CLeclercq1961 (118) - Temecula, California, USA - OCT 19, 2015
Rating the non 2.0 one. The 1.0 version was orange pour and white fluffy head. Hops of pine and lemongrass. Flavor light malts and bitter pine hops. Finishes almost session like and very quench able.
