COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This gin-like elixir harkens back to earlier times when these traditional botanicals were used in brewing and distilling. The selection of juniper, lemon and lime peel elevates this double IPA’s citrusy flavor by imparting fragrant, earthy dryness. Furthermore, we spiced up the traditional ingredient list with fresh ginger to create our own unique concoction and bring the flavor profile into the modern-day epitome of the gin spirit.

Pours copper amber with a one finger off white head with pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, juniper, ginger, pine, spicy herbs, and some lemon peel. Taste is similar to the aroma with the addition of some light bready like malts. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, moderately bitter, long finish. Overall, a tasty, very interesting DIPA that actually does taste like gin.

Pretty balanced. Not too bitter. Not totally my style due to the ginger but I liked it.

Really enjoyed the juniper in both aroma and taste. Touch too much ginger. Dark Amber color, and very clear. 8.7% ABV well hidden.

The beer poured a darker shade of amber compared to most IPAs, with a clear body. As lovely as the color and clarity were, the look was somewhat marred by the lack of a good head, which was one finger at its thickest, and rapidly dwindled to a thin layer of foam. The aroma was an impressive mix of hops, juniper berries, spruce, and ginger. The taste was mind-blowingly harmonized between hops, juniper, ginger, malt sweetness, and lemon zest. This was an amazing mix of flavors playing perfectly with each other like a well rehearsed symphony orchestra. The body was quite thick and alcohol stealthily concealed. Make no mistake about it, this is Stone at the top of their craft.

12 ounce bottle. Ruby red in color. Malty a bit with strong lime and ginger notes. Different. Overall, though, not overpowering.

Pours a clear orange amber with a thin white head. Pleasant aroma of light citrus and floral notes. Light to medium body with some lacing. Smooth taste with a nice lingering bitterness in the mouth. Taste is similar to the smell. I didn’t taste the ginger. Not harsh and not too bitter. Balanced flavors and hides the alcohol well. Very enjoyable.

12oz bottle. Poured a clear amber color with a small sized off white head. Ginger (not my favorite), citrus, some peels, and some herbalness.

On tap at Stone Escondido, pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out light ginger, a touch of juniper, and resinous hops. Flavour brings out lots of resinous upfront, accentuated by minor hints of juniper and ginger. Nice addition of the spices that don’t detract or dominate. Very good.

Bottle 3 weeks old. Aroma is juniper and citrus peel. Head never stops. Clean clear. Thick syrup as expected by a dipa. Flavors including black pepper juniper and citrus with hop dank in the back ground. Sweet and balanced. Pretty much amazing. Interesting intense awesome. The gin aromatic beer of the universe. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle for $2.99 from Bottles N Bins in Monterey, Ca. Light brown iced tea colored pour. Aroma of lime, lemon, and ginger. Flavor is tea, ginger, a little juniper. I hate to say this, because I respect Stone so much, but I really do not like this beer. I’ll leave it at that.
