Early that evening, womencantsail went out to the bar with the suggestively dressed women and the blasphemous theme. Arriving at the bar, he saw ChinoSkillzian sitting under the big beer sign looking tired rather than exuberant in his bright white shirt. ChinoSkillzian waved to him as he entered the threshold. At the table, womencantsail found a pint of R&R Coconut IPA and sitting in front of it, noted the clear orange hue and the soft white head. He inspected its aroma with great interest, noting scents of coconut, pine, grapefruit, and tropical fruits. Without hesitation, he lifted the glass to his mouth, tilting it back to release the contents within. Flavors of bitter pine, grapefruit, and sweet coconut danced on the tongue. Sticky, almost chewy, he at least finished the gulp of this new libation. hopwine (670) - brooklynzzzzz, New York, USA - AUG 1, 2013
A solid, highly attenuated IPA base with prominent citrus character and a subtle touch of buttery coconut. Coconut comes out much much more as the beer approaches room temp. Worth trying once, would not seek out again. JFParnell (70) - Washington, USA - AUG 1, 2013
A very good IPA. Does not have any of the characteristic grapefruit or bitter aftertaste that are inherent in IPA’s that I hate. The coconut helps smooth out the taste and gets rid of the bitter. The coconut is very subtle but noticeable. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 1, 2013
Bottle. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a white head. Floral and fruity aroma, lightly tropical, a touch grassy, papaya, light malt and a decent amount of alcohol for the abv. Floral, slightly sweet coconut when searched for. Flavors show a great IPA, floral, tropical fruit, guava, but it is really lacking on the coconut. Medium bodied, off-dry, fruity. Its a good IPA base, but lacking on the coconut, especially compared to another Coconut IPA released in SoCal in the last several months. GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 1, 2013
Tap at Congregation in Azusa, CA. Clear, medium orange pour with larger buttermilk head. Great retention and lace. Nose is sticky orange, sweaty/salt, butterscotch, dark sugar. Taste is butterscotch, mild bitterness, no coconut sadly. Palate is bitter, nutty, aggressive with just a touch of vegetal density in nose and taste. The base IPA is solid but the coconut is completely absent.

Pour from 22 oz bomber. Pours a amber orange with a small white head which fades to very little lacing. Aroma is of citrus, sweet malts, pine, dank hops, tropical fruits, and very faint coconut. Taste is citrus, pine, tropical fruits, sweet malts, and some light coconut. Has a medium-full body with a semi creamy body with a semi dry, pretty bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty IPA that would be even better if there was more coconut. JoeTheYounger (1183) - Lake Arrowhead, California, USA - JUL 30, 2013
Clear golden pour with white foamy bubbly head. Aroma is lots of tropical fruits and slight coconut. Taste is super bitter and tropical with a slight sweetness. Wish there was more coconut in the finish but overall its still quite nice. Minutes later, I can still taste the bitterness on the back of my tongue. Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Liquid appeared a shiny gold brass hue while a small delicate marshmallow foam head rested atop. Aroma is big and bold with a whiff of coconut water combined with a soft addition of skunky chronic like hops. The drink is crisp and clean with high quality ingredients such as a spicy bitter green hops that aren’t overpowering while a kiss of artificial coconut butter really makes things strange yet interesting. The malts are also apparent and really hold things in the balance on this COCO IPA. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - JUL 30, 2013
30 July 3013, bottle. Yellow, clear, no bubbles. Nose is lemon citrus hops and faint coconut. Thin body and moderately fizzy. Grapefruit hops and faint suntan lotion. Good. Wish there was more coconut.

22 oz. bottle. It pours a really clear golden orange with an off white head. The aroma has peaches, pineapple some caramel and noticeable coconut. The flavor is malty with strong fruity hop flavor and more coconut before the bitterness overpowers it in the finish. Pretty drinkable and tasty.
