In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is “A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,” then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

Cloudy amber beer, big pale cream coloured head. Piney, grassy hop nose. Smooth palate with fine carbonation that provides a sting. Good malt base, creamy with a little toffee. Big deep hop in this one! Slightly salty pine, mild skunk, rich citrus marmalade and a whisper of lemon. Creamy malt finish. Somewhat barleywine like but a great beer.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Citric grapefruity nose with caramelly malt shines through. Near full bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Very malty with loads of caramel under a thick blanket of grapefruity piney hops. Warming finish with pleasant bitterness. Surprisingly gentle and balanced.

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell - London. Big thank you to Aaron for bring this from the USA. Pours clear, deep gold with a creamy head. Juicy melon makes up the majority of the aroma, with grapefruit and pine lurking at the periphery. Medium to big sweet flavor with more heavy fruits, juicy citrus, grapefruit, tangerine, bitter pine. Medium to full bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Resinous pine to finish with notes of alcohol, dry bread and grapefruit. Nice, not world-class.

Cloudy amber color; small head. Very nice hoppy aroma, resiny, some stable. Good body strength, it has a very strong flavor of toffee, modest sweetness, and a lacerating hopping, very resiny and fruity. Long final.
