Stone Ruination IPA was the first full-time brewed and bottled West Coast double IPA on the planet. As craft beer has evolved over the years, so too have techniques for maximizing hop flavors and aromas. For the second incarnation of our groundbreaking India pale ale, we employed dry hopping and hop bursting to squeeze every last drop of piney, citrusy, tropical essence from the hops that give this beer its incredible character. We’ve also updated the name to reflect the imperial-level intensity that’s evident in every sip. Join us in cheering this, the second stanza in our “Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop.”

Can. Medium mango amber with a thick white foam. Scent is medium notes of early hops. Taste is very nice dark fruits on imperial IPA. Delicate and mature. Finish is dry and a bit of Ethanol. Great.

midovark (970) - Balassagyarmat, HUNGARY - AUG 17, 2017
On tap @ Hopaholic. Copper colour, thick head. Well made DIPA, but quite one dimensional; bitter piney hops dominate its taste and aroma, there’s some cut grass to the lattet tho, but that’s it.

pawos (213) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - AUG 9, 2017

(Bottle) Clear, pale straw body with a large, frothy off-white head. Pale malt aroma, fresh hops. Medium bodied. Resiny pine hops, some citrus peel; fruity; alcohol is apparent. Dry.

Sigmund (7654) - Tau, NORWAY - AUG 6, 2017
330 ml can, brewed in Berlin. ABV is 8.5%. Bought at Vinmonopolet Sauda. Golden colour, slightly hazy.Moderate white head. Strong aroma of piney and grapefruity American hops, also hints of tropical fruits. The flavour is first medium sweet and fruity, then a solid and resinous hoppy bitterness sets in. Good beer.

Can. From Zombier. In hotel’s tubular glass. Watching Spiderman. 7 months after bb date. Kept on fridge. Plenty of pine and resin (maybe a bit over the top) here along with light tropical notes. Alcohol well hidden. To repeat fresher
