Stone Ruination IPA was the first full-time brewed and bottled West Coast double IPA on the planet. As craft beer has evolved over the years, so too have techniques for maximizing hop flavors and aromas. For the second incarnation of our groundbreaking India pale ale, we employed dry hopping and hop bursting to squeeze every last drop of piney, citrusy, tropical essence from the hops that give this beer its incredible character. We’ve also updated the name to reflect the imperial-level intensity that’s evident in every sip. Join us in cheering this, the second stanza in our “Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop.”

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2017 Can. Pours hazy amber with large white head. Aroma is grapefruit, orange, passion fruit, yogurt, spruce and fermenting fruit. Taste is very bitter and light to medium sweet. Body is oily with medium carbonation. Finish is long and bitter with notes that follow the nose plus hints of rye bread.

330 ml can, Stone Berlin. Pours pale orange with big fluffy head. Honey, pine, passion fruit, citrus, floral notes, maple syrup. Strong hoppy bitterness - typical for a Imperial IPA. Carbonation is soft, medium bodied. Strong bitter finish with some alcohol. Sophisticated beer. Not for everyone.

Optisch prima, schöner Cremeschaum. In der Nase reife Zitrusfrüchte. Im Trunk recht alkoholisch, überspielt leider die Fruchtigkeit.

33cl can, brewed in Berlin. Fanrastic floral nose with hints of sweetness. Intense sticky, lots of floral hops over an intense heavy body. Strong bitterness, floral grassy with fruity pine and lemon. Intense bitterness on the tongue, not too much sweetness with lots of pine and resin citrus fruits. Interesting and deep.

tap @ hopaholic as "made in berlin version" (budapest) golden colour, medium body, high carbonated, thick texture, tropical fruity, sweet, yeast, bittersweet, so much fully aroma, must to try it!

22 oz. bottle shared with the wife. Pours orange with a disapating white head. Not much in the way of lace. Heady pine resin and citrus aroma. Secondary bread and biscuit. Initial sweetness on the flavor, quickly pushed aside by pine resin bitterness. Full in the mouth. Lingering bitterness. Well made.
