Please note that the Ruination produced in Europe is the Ruination Double IPA 2.0
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Pours a nice golden color with a white head. Has a bit of pine and yeast smell to it. Has a little citrus taste to it and is pretty bitter. An okay DIPA

Bottle. Pours hazy amber, with a thick, pungent head. Aroma is overwhelming at first, but settles out after a thorough pour. Very bitter nose, almost completely consumed by the dry-hops. Very firm body, with balanced carbonation. I expected much better from Stone. Perhaps the bottles warning was correct; I may need a few more tastings to fully appreciate this beast.

Bottle. Hazy, light orange beer with a thin white head. Sweet honeyed aroma with some grape and orange to add complexity. Flavor starts...sweet honey paired with oranges and spices and finishes with a huge lasting bitter kick in the teeth. I enjoy the original flavors but the at first the aftertaste is almost too strong like having battery acid in your mouth...but then again, thats what you want in an IPA.

Pours a murky orange with a white head, good lacing. Smells very bready/yeasty. Hoppy/bitter but not overpowering. Good balance. A pretty tasty ipa.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of fruity hops and weak maltiness. Tastes like pure hop juice, with pines, citrus and pineapples mixed with the heavy malts. Cleans the palate instantly, and leaves your mouth dry.

Tap. Golden in color with tons of head. (could be the bartenders fault). Pine with citrus flavor, lots of bitter hops. Hops seemed very fresh, bold. More bitter than expected, but was still easy drinkin

A dark amber/copper colored beer with a fluffly white head. Aroma is hoppy, pine resins, astringent. Bittering hops obliterate the palate for sure... a bit too bitter for my tastes, but In can appreciate how a real hop head would love this. Nice with a spicy indian dish. Not dry enough on the finish. Oily.

this one pours a clear, pale gold with a good sized white head which seems rather thin, but holds well. Nose is all pine, grapefruit, light apple, grassy hops and some sweet pale malt and a sort of green hop character. Mout is immediate hop attack that carries through all the way, and gives a solid kick on the swallow but nicely balanced by sweet caramel, and bready malt. Pretty intense pine bitterness is held up nicely.
