RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002
In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop, then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

Orange pour, white head. Nose is huge tropical and citrus fruits, some pine, big sweet malt background. Taste is overripe tropical fruits, sweet caramel, bready malts, big lasting spicy bitter finish. Missing the piney, resiney qualities I love in regular Ruination. Sticky mouthfeel.

22 oz bottle. OMG! So amazing! Pours a thick clear golden amber with a foamy off- white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of pine, citrus, sweet malts, and tropical fruits. Perfectly balanced. Sweet malts and fruits balanced by the citrus and pine hops. A bit of resin. Fresh hoppy taste with some grass mixed in. Nice dry bitter finish. Perfect for the 300th beer rate! Absolutely delicious.

Cloudy orange, minimal head. Aromas of pine, citrus. Bracingly bitter on the front, finishes sticky sweet with a lingering spiciness. Reminds me of the first time I tried regular ruination. Nothing new to see here.

Poured a fantastic deep amber orange with a rambunctious head of off white foam that sat aloft for quite some time before it fell to a thick cap and ring. Left plenty of nice lace to decorate the soon to be empty glass. This beer was simply handsome. The color was rich and it had plenty of clarity. There were tiny bubbles that wafted up not just in the center but all over, making me wonder just how big is the bottom of that glass? Nose is big citrus and sweet tropical fruit. Has a terrific malt caramel sweetness thats dry and sugary. Theres bread in there too, pine and earth. Touch of spice to liven it and a good perfume from the hops. Touch of alcohol on the nose. Taste is bitter up front with plenty of juicy and ripe fruit that is sweet enough to make you feel safe. Then the malt, deep, full & bready and carries all that oil and resin to the back palate and before you can think too hard the bitter really peaks. The hops oil and resin linger at the back of the throat, piney and with a touch of alcohol. Theres grapefruit, theres a little pepper and even a little onion. It feels sticky and it even feels thick on the palate. The tropical fruits are combined into a punch like quality but there is some melon and orange.

As it warms the malt becomes heavy and little sweet for my taste and the bitter is a bit loud. The fruits were forthright but they lost to the oily pine. Hints of nutty qualities as it warmed. They made a very big beer. A hop bomb, a huge fat hoppy beer. Its pretty good.

Pours a copper with a tight white head. Aroma is citrucy piney floral hops grapefruit. Taste follows the aroma with a medium mouth feel. Very tropical piney hops. Hop resin stays on the tongue for a while. This is a very hoppy dominent beer. If your a hop head you will love this! If your not a hop head this might be too bitter.

Bottle
Appearance: Really clean dark orange/amber with robust creamy lacing head
Aroma: Grapefruit, alchohol, dark malt
Taste: Slightly sweet, then transitioning into a alcohol hot bitterness
Palate: Slick, very lively mouthfeel. The light looking body is revealed to be much heavier, resulting in a coating mouthfeel. Alcohol like burn with the finish. Resin, pine, intense citrus.
Overall: Wow; this is a really impressive beer. Its not subtle in its delivery which makes it much easier to discern the different elements. The lighter body makes it surprisingly drinkable, whereas the big malty mouthfeel and alcohol burn on the finish backs you down.

From a bomber purchased at the Greeks, into a tulip. Pours a pretty amber gold with an inch of head and little lacing. Skanky ass aroma. Almost smells like it went bad. Sulphury. Mouthfeel is moderate to light considering the abv of this monster. Taste is pure hop juice. Just mouth blasting pine, ethanol, medicine, turpentine and grapefruit. When too much just isn't nearly enough Ruinten. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
