RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002
In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop, then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

Bottle at the parentals with my Dad. Pour is clear golden-orange with a huge cream-colored head and great lacing. Sweet grapefruity, orange peel, slightly weedy, grassy, citrusy, lightly caramelly, and resinous aroma. Taste is sweet candied fruits, orange peel, grapefruit, citrus, weedy, caramel, bready, and grassy with a huge bitter finish. Sticky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Damn tasty DIPA and the alcohol is not noticeable, at all. Definitely a hopheads dream.

Poured with a nice head with a dark amber appearance. The aroma has a nice hops floral note. The beer is smooth with a great finish, this is a great double IPA, almost better than the original Ruination.

Not impressed. No detection of fresh hops. Mostly sweet malt aroma and taste. Alcohol is very noticable as well. Think I need to re-rate the Ruination. For 7.99 a bomber there are much better options. Will pass on this again, and would not recommend.

Bottle Poured into spigleau glass. Golden Amber pour with a nice thick white head that laces as it slowly lowers. Aroma is huge citrus hops. Orange rind and grapefruit dominate. Super fresh smell. Taste is very smooth, the same citrus from the nose comes into the flavor right away with an addition of sweet malts and a bitter but not cloying bitter long finish. Quite a special IPA here.

Wow! If you like a strong, bitter Double/Imperial IPA, this is it. They may actually create a new class for this one. Triple IPA? A Hop Lovers Dream!!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured a brassy amber color with a cap of off white head. Aroma has bitter hops, citrus, pine sap, and sweet malt. Mouth feel is a solid medium with good coating and strong carbonation. Flavor is good and chewy in this beefed up version, citrus rind, medium bitterness, and a strong lasting finish. This is certainly a beefy one and it borders on barleywine territory especially with the high alcohol content. For my personal taste this is a bit heavy on the bitterness and light on the sweetness but well done none the less.

Tap at the hoppy monk el paso tx june 2013 Im very glad that they got this beer on tap here! I made an extra trip just to have it. Pours bright clear orange with a small soapy white head and very little lacing. Nose is huge here lits of tropical notes papaya floral as well with a touch of pine citrus and lite alcohol. Flavors exhibit a lot of trooical notes however this one is hot on the alcohol. Nice sweet malt here however its very well balanced by the pine and citrus notes. Bigtime bitterness here however there is a wallop of alcohol heat right alongside the onslaught of bitterness. This is a huge iipa which is good however I like a little less heat. Huge fresh pine and grapefruit all over the finish. Very good!

Poured a half finger of head on a clear, medium straw colored body. The aroma was incredible. Lots of bright citrus with a touch of honey and pine. The taste is loaded with hops and bitterness. It is more than a hop bomb though. There is great variety and complexity. Lots of fruit and some pine with a huge malt backbone to hold it all up. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. Impressive.
