RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002
In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is “A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,” then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2014 Bomber. Clear amber golden pour with an off white head that lasts and laces a bit. Aromas of pine resin, biscuit, spice, citrus, and grapefruit. Taste is an upfront bitter pine resin and spice followed by sweet citrus (pineapple and grapefruit) and malt- ends with a spicy warmth to go with that big 10.8%. Medium bodied, dry and bitter finish. Lingering bitter pine.

Hoppy and a little tart aroma. Dark amber color with thin white head. Tastes hoppy (of course) and a bit tart. Es muy delicioso.Quiero beber con un hamberguesa.

Bomber. Classic copper clear color. Whitish dissipating head. A west coast palate temptation if I've ever had one. Over the top marketing but still a great ipa. Bitter grapefruit. Long lasting and can enjoy a bottle a while. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I texted Westmeister with thirty seconds of my first sip that this was a "beautiful beer." It pours a clear light gold with a white head with staying power. The scent is pine first, citrus second. The bitter of the hops leads perfectly into the sweet maltiness. An all time favorite. Hoping that Stone keeps bringing it out every year. Bottle - Ale Yeah! - Decatur, GA

Pours copper with a sturdy cream colored head. Nose of pine and melon. Taste has solid bitterness with some light caramel mid pour, hop presence in form of pine, cat piss, and faint melon. Alcohol burn ends the sample.

Copper colored with a small off white head. A bit too dark for my liking. Big hop profile. Lots of melon, too much pine, a bit too bitter as well. It wants to be a big juicy hop bomb, but falls just short with the aspirin like bitterness. Reminds me of what I remember hopslam being 5 years ago.

Bottle. Dark yellow/orange with a decent head. The aroma is intense deep grapefruit, pine, slightly vegetal hops with some very ripe tropical fruit to round it out. The flavor is sweet boozy with intense bitterness throughout overpowering most of the notes mentioned. Feel is sticky, boozy and bitter drying and mouthwatering. As promised, a pure hop bomb done like few others can.

Bottle. Light copper pour with a thick head that dissipates quickly. Caramel first and then pine, grapefruit, berry, flowers, mocha and spice. Not overwhelming on the nose. Smooth, full body with nice carbonation. Nice balance of pine-like bitterness and sweetness. Not overwhelming because of the well balanced aroma and taste, but powerful. Very nice

On tap at the RateBeer Gallery event in SF. Pours coppery orange with a light tan head. Aroma is piney and grapefruity, lightly sweet, with pervasive garlic. Dense malt flavors with caramel and molasses, strong pine and unripe grapefruits and oranges, clearly quite strong with a slight boozy sharpness. Not impressed.
