COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In spring 2011, Stone bought the farm, literally, taking over 19 acres of fertile Southern California soil where we now grow pristine fruits, vegetables, herbs and more for our Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens restaurants. A taste of our homespun farm-to-tableism is provided in this farmhouse ale stoked with lemon zest, plus lemon thyme and lavender straight from Stone Farms. This spring-to-summer saison is citric and herbal on the palate with a dry, peppery finish. Thanks to the infusion of fresh West Coast ingredients, this isn’t your everyday saison. It’s our saison—100% Stone. Celebrate the sunny season with an authentic taste of our farm and, with it, our commitment to quality.

BEENJAMIN (292) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 18, 2014
2014 release 12oz bottle sitting pretty in a wine glass. Golden yellow tone with a dense white head and aromatics jumping out the glass. Upon the first smell I get flash backs to Saison Du Buff which is probably the thyme and peppery yeast in play. Floral lavender, a touch of eggy sulfur and bright citrus are also present. The flavors are nice and balanced with a spicy dry finish, I really enjoyed it.

12 ounce bottle from six-pack purchased at the brewery in Escondido ($10.50). Pours a very clear yellow-amber with one finger of white foam. AROMA of musty lavender, spicy citrus, floral and herbal hops, some Belgian yeast, and definite pepper at the end. FLAVOR is nicely herbal at first with notes of earthy lemon thyme and lesser lavender. Other flavor notes include spicy citrus, lightly sweet bready malts, pepper, and light yeast. Very dry finish with some lingering spice. Herbs are more toned down than the Saison du BUFF, and meld well into the beer as a whole. Not a particularly adventurous take on the saison style, but still very enjoyable and quaffable. (3, 856)

2014 release. Pours clear orange, with two fingers of white head. Dry pepper, and slightly yeasty almost doughy Belgian tones on the nose. Crisp and dry. With yeast, pepper notes and some floral qualities. Just great.
