4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a beautiful solid pale gold, lazy bubbles meander their way to the top. Head blooms a big frothy white, then quickly subsides into a lazy spider web trail, as sparse bubbles work their way to the top. The aroma blooms with big spice and thick classic Belgian yeast overtones. The hops are subdued. A slight hint of bubblegum and definitely some big, yet not overpowering, coriander tones hit first, then it finishes into a very mellow malt and lemon like overtone that is very pleasing. This is an excellent brew. My only wish is that there could be more. I raise a glass high for Sawyer, and thank Bill for sharing this with us.
Draft. Pours clear gold with a white head. Nice fruity phenolic yeasty base, apricot, light sweetness, and light herbal notes. Solid. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 12, 2015
Draught at Stone World Bistro Escondido, California. Hazy golden beer with a decent offwhite head. Fruity biscuit aroma, yeasty, grapes, figs, banana notes, spicy, caramel, plums, some peach. Malty fruity flavor, spicy notes, yeast, plums, grapes, pepper, peach, some warming alcohol. Well balanced smooth triple. slowrunner77 (12037) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 16, 2014
"a beer i enjoyed more than most triples i’ve had before, but it still didn’t stand up to Stone’s bigger beers. Light bodied for the style, some spicy yeastiness - not too aggressive. good but not great flavor...barely noticeable hops." jbruner (4734) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - OCT 16, 2013
Pours a clear golden brown from the bottle with minimal lacy off-white head. Aroma is loads of caramel and honey. Taste follows with a hint of yeast and booze. Definitely not a good Belgian, but not a bad beer. mverity (294) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 16, 2013
Aroma is of honey, white grape and dull yeast must. Hazy orange amber in color with almost no head. The carbonation has left this brew entirely. Taste is also honey, light malt and a floral sweetness (likely from the hops, but taste is more like magnolia flower). Enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity spicy yeasty aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty finish. drunkenpolack (319) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - FEB 24, 2012
Old quick review from 2009 - Taste is full of candied sugar, fruit, and honey. A real treat. brokensail (16444) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 23, 2011
A: The beer pours a clear golden orange color with a tall white head.
S: Reeks of sugar. Cloying as any beer I’ve smelled with over ripe bananas and spices being the only break from the sugar (not that they really help much). Bubblegum and cotton candy only add to the problem.
T: This is so sweet, it’s almost got a grainy texture to it. Sugar, sugar, and more sugar with cotton candy, bubblegum, and overly ripe fruits such as bananas and apples. A strong spice character of clove that is also unpleasant.
M: Syrupy with medium carbonation.
O: Unenjoyable on all fronts. I know it’s sort of a dick move to bash this beer considering its purpose, but it’s just not good. Dixonian (1562) - Plano, Texas, USA - JAN 30, 2011

Pours a golden yellow - aromas of banana and Belgian yeast. A love a good triple, and this did not disappoint. Very drinkable, why can’t more of Stone’s brews be available in my area!? madmitch76 (24789) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2011

Hazy amber beer. Soft palate with some syrupyness towards the finish. Creamy malt with undertones of banana and gentle spices. A restrained and well behaved tripel that goes down easily.
