UPDATED: NOV 2, 2015 Aroma is strong vanilla...light on smoke. Over all a tasty porter. Color is brown black with substantial brown head that lingers. A little coffee bitter on the end. I prefer the thickness a stout offers but this porter has a flavor that almost makes up for the lack of body. anthony850 (472) - Andover, New Jersey, USA - OCT 21, 2015
Decent Porter with chocolate and coffee overtones. While smokey. Not an overpowering taste.

Appearance: Pours a
dark black with a finger of light tan head. Short retention, slight lacing.
Dough, hint of coffee.
Coco beans, vanilla, smoke, coffee, moca, raisins and prunes.
Average viscosity, lingering finish, average carbonation.
Overall: Nice Porter in which the vanilla and coffee beans really come out. The dark fruits like raisins and prunes come out as it begins to warm.
Bomber shared pours a medium brown with light Brown head. The aroma and flavor is lots of vanilla bean almost touch the ratio of smoke to vanilla bean is bean. I like more smoke this one leaves me wanting more bpreo (2840) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - SEP 15, 2015
This stuff was really tasty. Oh, but it needs more alcohol in it. Still a delicious bit of drink.

Underwhelmed would be an understatement. Perhaps it’s a bit old? Standard porter looks. Aroma has mild vanilla and smoke....very mild. There’s almost zero of the deep roasted flavors a porter typically presents, with very, very mild vanilla and very mild smoke. Quite disappointing. jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 24, 2015
Tap @ Black Sheep, MPLS. Deep brown pour with a prominent tan head. Somewhat hazy. Toasted marshmallow and vanilla. Mellow smoked malts. Nice sweet/earthy profile. Taste is fairly rich. Generally sweet, some umami. Brown sugar, light smoke. Burnt caramel. Sort of oily. Pretty nice stuff. pictoman (1129) - British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 21, 2015
Poured from 1 pt 6 fl oz bottle. Dark brown with full tan head. Aroma of light roast malt with subtle hints of smoke and vanilla. Taste has a mix of chocolate and vanilla BiiruBierBeer (1049) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - AUG 7, 2015
Smells weird. Strange roasty scent with maybe some vanilla. I was expecting this to be gross since I’m not exactly Stone’s #1 fan, but this actually isn’t bad at all. Notes of mild roast and a creamy soft vanilla character. Extremely mild smoke thankfully. There is a bit of a minerally character in there though. Lighter body, medium carbonation, and some foam. Pours a deep dark brown with a slight off-white head from a bottle. Aroma of chocolate and caramel/toffee. Flavor of dark chocolate and smoked wood, a little thin in the mouth IMHO. Good beer.
