Cask at GBBF, Day 1. Pours opaque black with a bubbly, beige head. Pine, booze, grapefruit nose. Sweet flavor, notes of burnt brown sugar, heavy roasted malts, pine. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Some warmth in the finish, huge resinous pine, tar, oil, mocha, earth, tires. Awesome. harrisoni (19556) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2011
Cask gravity at GBBF 2011. Black lasting dark beige head. Apparently this is good and it needs to be as I am flagging badly. Hoppy dark roasty malt aroma. Wow that is pretty good. Huge choc. Big hops. But as you expect from Stone its good and better than most. Enormously good beer. Lovely choc full malts in mouth like a real full on belgian choc and then refreshing hops on finish. I cant speak highly enough of the malts. Amazing ndon (857) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2011
Cask @ GBBF 2011. Pours fairly black, with a small beige head. Hoppy, roasty, tasty, citrus, fucking awesome, and gods orgasm are the only things i can decipher off my tasting book. Snojerk321 (2984) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 6, 2012

Black pour with thin tan head on tap at winterstorm. I think this is 15th before they released it was Hoppy and roasts brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - JUN 28, 2011
A: The beer pours black in color with a finger or so of tan head and nice sticky lacing.
S: Reminds me of Stone 11th. Huge citrus aroma of grapefruit and tangerine. Lots of piney hop notes to it as well. A touch of pineapple fruitiness on the back end of the nose and a decent roast.
T: More of the same on the palate. Intense grapefruit flavor with a slight sweetness of pineapple and tangerine. The bitterness is pretty strong and there is a nice pine flavor, too. A little bit of roast, but the flavor is pretty clean.
M: Medium in body with a medium level of carbonation.
O: Hopefully the 15th Anniversary is as good as this is. Stone can really make a good Black IPA. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUL 6, 2011
