a very good IPA with added thickness from chocolate malt. Pours dark and foamy, hoppy, ahh! the taste of citrus C-hop, and the c-hop aroma. Full mouthfeel. Delightful as a meal in itself. fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 22, 2007

Dark chestnut color, very big head. Powerful American hop aroma, resiny and fruity. Good body strength, with a strong caramel flavor, some chocolate, sweetness, extreme hopping. Not much poetry about it, just a war tale, and I like it!

Dark mahogany color; thin creamy head. Wonderful hoppy aroma, resiny and fruity (sweet nuts, bitter oranges...). Good body strength, very strong caramel and malt flavor, it would be sweet but it’s overwhelmed by the extreme and aromatic hopping. Great.
Poured a dark cloudy brown with goo head and great lacing. Aroma was very pine citrus bops some roasted malts. Flavor super citrus lots of grapefruit some caramel malts to it. Good beer. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 19, 2007
Mahogny colour with a tan head. Hoppy, pineapple fruity aroma with a light malty sweet note. Hoppy, peach fruity flavor with some malty sweet notes. Dry finish, with both hoppy bitter and fruity sweet notes.

Pleasant aroma with strong hop and mild malt and alcohol. Burnt red almost black appearance. Fairly potent alcohol flavor but well balanced with defined hop and malt character. A sweet beer overall but but has a fairly dry finish. Somewhat slick in the mouth but turns to a drying finish. djtimeless (222) - Colorado, USA - DEC 15, 2007
Pours out dark black with a brown head. Nice and hoppy with a roasted malty taste. Its part IPA and part porter or stout. Nice finish bitter but creamy and smooth. emobassfoo (178) - Webster, New York, USA - DEC 15, 2007
Notes: Milky mahogany and auburn color with an off-white flimsy head. Great lacing. Rich aroma. It stings. Chocolate-covered licorice, cherries, and a hint of roasted malt. Fragrant. Sweet malts; roasty and a bit of chocolate at first. Hops balance this flavor out with some resiny notes. Complex. Rides off the tongue and gums. Smooth palate, much more body than I expected. Bitter x3. Not too harsh or too alcoholic. Threshold of a barley wine. Good! bigrond (1499) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 14, 2007
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2008 WOW! the aroma is ripe grapefruit - the color is deep & dark. The flavor is a light IPA. The palate is unreal.
This finish is tart, sweet, sour and unique. I would have bought a case of this if I’d had known it was going to be this good.
Lifes to short to drink cheap beer. kiscokid (10) - Mount Kisco, New York, USA - DEC 14, 2007
Bomber from Halftime. This is a black IPA, very well balanced, nicely hopped but not overly so. Very delic.
