COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Steve Gonzalez, Research and Small Batch Manager at Stone Brewing Co.:

Brewmaster Mitch Steele asked me to brew a saison so I came up with a recipe that had herbal notes from the noble hops, citrus, and a hint of pepper from the Grains of Paradise. When the question of what to name the beer came up, I suggested Tiger Cub. Tiger Cub was my nickname for my wife Jenn. I had told her that I would name a really special beer after her someday, but she passed away before I could do so. When the opportunity to name the beer presented itself I though this saison, something she would have liked, would be the perfect opportunity to make good on my promise

On tap at Denver Rare Beer Tasting 8. Pours a hazy yellow orange with thick frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, floral, honeysuckle, wheat. Medium body, honey, floral, yeast, light tartness, very nice.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting VIII on 10/07/2016. Hazy apricot color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of herbal yeast, lemon peel, malt and mild hops. The finish is citrusy with a yeast and hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Pour on tap at Avery Sourfest 2014, clear golden-orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of bread, dough, yeasty notes into a bit of spice, slight earth, grass into some slight white fruit. Taste was a mix of dough, bread, spice notes into some yeasty, earthy notes with a hint of fruit, finishing fairly dry.

Orange gold pour with white head. Aroma and taste a alcholic apricot. Not a favorite of mine. Still, not a bad beer.

ketchepillar (1198) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - MAY 24, 2014
On tap at O Neills. Watery, with some nice earthiness. A little spicy, buy with some weird esters. Just a so so beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 30, 2014
On tap at Saraveza, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Nose of nail polish remover, white wine and apricots. Flavour fortunately doesn’t bring out as much of the cosmetic notes, with notes of apricot and dry vinous oak. Something wrong here - quite a bit of off-notes in this. Not good.

Bule (2137) - California, USA - MAR 28, 2014
On tap at Taps in Petaluma. Pours a cloudy pale amber color. Nice peppery saison with mild sweetness.
