UPDATED: JAN 11, 2018 cloudy yellow with lots of floaty bits. strong aroma of pineapple and mango. taste is strongly grapefruit, pineapple, and mango. dry grapefruit hop finish. so fruity I'd almost mistake it for carbonated fruit juice, but taste doesn't come across as artificial like a lot of wine coolers. allmyvinyl (11321) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 8, 2018
Can from Beers of Europe. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of pineapple and citrus. Taste is bitter, resinous hops. Creamy texture, bitter finish. Bit chewy mind. doriangrey (149) - Diamond Creek, AUSTRALIA - JAN 7, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2018 Marmalade orange peel taste. Not overly bitter and hoppy but quite balanced and rich. Some pineapple and apricots in there and a degree of sweetness jgb9348 (6646) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JAN 7, 2018
Fairy hazy copper and bronze coloured body with an apricot glow and a decent two centietre tall tan head. Aroma of orange juice, full oranges, a touch of apricots and a lot of mangoes - fairly juicy and sweet notes are around with a touch of light hops as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong fruity flavours at first too with a big hop flavour right afterwards shows the tropical side of things with a dose of floral and grassy bitterness as well and a light sweetness from honey near the end. Aftertaste shows more of the tropical flavours with a bigger malt side than seen before with a touch of alcohol noticeable on the end. Overall, quite a bit better than expected, but nothing ground-breaking nor amazing here, simply a good tropical-ish IPA that was much more than expected from this brewery that wasn't overdone, overblown or overstated to the n-th degree. The can probably read something like that, but I didn't bother reading anything that this brewery puts out to jade opinions, which is much better to just let the beer do the talking. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 22-November-2017 for US$2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 06-January-2018. UPDATED: JAN 5, 2018 Can from Brewcraft at home. Slightly hazy golden orange pour with dense fine white head. Aroma is sharp citrus pith and juicy tropical pineapple hoppiness. Taste is deliciously tropical while not compromising on Stone resin bitterness. Smooth caramel malt. Lingering bitterness. Great big IPA that’s just as huge but more drinkable and tropical than the standard Stone IPA. Much better than the previous Ghost Hammer too, I think. CacheManyHose (791) - HONG KONG - JAN 5, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 5, 2018 Can from Brewcraft, drank at home. Pours a cloudy bright inviting orange-tan with a small fizzy off-white head. Smells of mandarin orange, tangerine, melon, papaya, citrus tartness but with pithy resin bitterness, light woody malt. Taste is citrus, woody pine hop, dank, moderate spicy malt, dry. Body is smooth, sherbet creaminess, more bitter and dry in the finish. Really great beer. Amazing nose and palate. rouhlas (4027) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - JAN 4, 2018
