COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We were inspired to brew this style of beer by the European village breweries whose ales were brewed and delivered fresh to be enjoyed in the pubs of the surrounding local area. Draught Ale is brewed to be served fresh in the many great watering holes just down the road; therefore we don’t need to filter or pastuerise it. We want it to be served over the bar just like it is in our storage tank at the brewery. Brewed with local water from the Byron Bay hinterland, Australian grown barley, wheat, and hops, and carefully selected ale yeast we have crafted a beer with complex flavours and a clean bitter finish.

Formerly known as Draught Ale.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy pale straw colour, thin white head didn’t last very long. Aroma: very fruity, slightly vinous, grape, peach, citrus. Taste: fruity, citrus, grape and peach, slightly vinous, light sweet, moderate bitter. Light body, soft-medium carbonation. Quite nice actually, better than I expected, good flavour for the ABV and style.

Tap at the Napier Hotel, Melbourne. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is grassy, piney, citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp, fresh, slightly watery, grapefruit citrus hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

4.4%ABV. Pale ale. Poured out light thin gold. 4SRM. Poured out like looking like a kolsch. Nose has some carbonated watery, water biscuits and flour. Light sweet malt, but otherwise pretty thin. There is some ashtray or stale cigarette smoke odors. Not very pleasant. Mouthfeel is beery and very light. Palate has pale malt, remiscent of a James Boags pale ale. No hops. Mineral body is the primary taste note for me. Overall, pretty forgettable.

330ml bottle. Peach, orange, lemon, lime, floral, biscuit. Fruity and bitter up top but with a messy malt finish. Not a great success.
