We were inspired to brew this style of beer by the European village breweries whose ales were brewed and delivered fresh to be enjoyed in the pubs of the surrounding local area. Draught Ale is brewed to be served fresh in the many great watering holes just down the road; therefore we dont need to filter or pastuerise it. We want it to be served over the bar just like it is in our storage tank at the brewery. Brewed with local water from the Byron Bay hinterland, Australian grown barley, wheat, and hops, and carefully selected ale yeast we have crafted a beer with complex flavours and a clean bitter finish.

Formerly known as Draught Ale.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2012 I had to re-rate this beer. The first time I had it, it was completely different to what I had expected and I think I under-rated it because of this. This is a really good beer. Beautful aroma of apricot hops. A really sharp clean feel on this beer with a dry, only slightly bitter, finish. The lightish body and higher carboantion make it incredibly refreshing. I am really impressed with this beer, and despite its fruity aroma it is not overly sweet at all and easily sessionable.

Poured from 330 ml bottle. Low head low foam retention. Golden hazy color. Slight citrus notes in smell. Light body, low bitterness, again light citrus notes in taste. Nice feeling in mouth, refreshing but nothing remarkable.

Draft sampled in Sydney. Pours a light golden body with thin white lacing. Nose is fresh tropical fruit and soft citrus notes. Mouthfeel is light bodied with notes of tropical fruit, melon, soft pine and citric hop.

Schooner. Pours a pale hazy straw colour with minimal head. Aroma: citrus, grapefruit, passionfruit and tropical aromas. Taste: balance of citrus, passionfruit and tropical flavours that finishes cleanly on the palate. Moderate carbonation. Malts take a back seat to the tropical flavours. A perfect session beer for a hot summers day! Tends to be better on tap than bottled in my experience.

Didnt have great expectations of this so was midly surprised. Light fruity aroma, quite mild. Light yellow in colour with thin white head. Tropical passhionfruit taste quite refreshing, especially as I just mowed the lawn.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2017 Very pleasant and well balanced fruity, biscuity ale. Clean and fresh taste with minimal bitterness. Simple easy drinking. Sweet citris, grapefruit, passionfruit and tropical flavours with hint of spicy tang. A staple in local area. Great in a 500ml bottle. Even better on tap at local tavern.
