B rewed at OG 1042 and ABV 4.3%. A crisp clean, refreshing bitter, deep amber in colour, well balanced with a fruity blackcurrant nose. Bitter flavour. Our brewer’s recipe, which proves he certainly deserved his Brewer’s Certificate.

Cask @ GBBF 09, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.
Clear amber color with a fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. Borring ! [20090805]

Cask at Angleterre. Amber to orange colour with a fluffy white head. Fruity, bitterish, quite weak scent. Malty taste, quite low carbonation. Sufficed as beverage with some sandwiches.

A Mes rate. Cask at GBBF.
Clean amber gold with no real head to speak of. Rather sweet nutty malt dominates. Plenty of caramel, some fruit and a hint of spice in the finish. Dull and uneventful.

Cask (Pullman, Helsinki)
Simple bitter aroma, caramel. Deep orange. Sweet wimple maltiness, a bit underfermented. Low carbonation, smooth palate. Very simple malty taste - sugar puffs nbreakfast cereal. Some fruity esters. Adequate.

Cask @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pours hazy deep golden with a small, frothy off-white head. Lightly fruity aroma, some black currants, caramel and malts. Very low carbonation, nice mouthfeel. Sweet and fruity flavour. Light back currants, some sweet, soft maltiness, light apple. Long, lingering bitterness. Nice and elegant balance.

Draft. Clear amber colour with a small white head. Rich aroma and taste of malts and fruits with a discreet hoppy finish. Nicely balanced.

[email protected] Deep honeyish golden/ambery colour with small head. Aroma is wood, sweet nectar along with some mild notes of caramel and nuts. Flavour is caramel, wood, some mild notes of fruits. Not too sweet and actually quite pleasant.

hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 11, 2009
Cask handpump at GBBF ’09. Amber. Sweet fruit aroma. Delightful sweet fruity taste. Raspberry Rowntrees fruit gum? Some bitterness. Very good, if a bit straightforward.

TBone (18542) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 10, 2009
[email protected] 2009. Deep clear amber color, not much head. Aroma has light caramel and calvados kind of fruityness. Fruity flavor has apples and cardboard. Some sticky notes in the aftertaste. A bit watery. Hopped light cider? :)
