Cask; Regular.
B rewed at OG 1042 and ABV 4.3%. A crisp clean, refreshing bitter, deep amber in colour, well balanced with a fruity blackcurrant nose. Bitter flavour. Our brewer’s recipe, which proves he certainly deserved his Brewer’s Certificate.

Clear amber color with a fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. Borring ! [20090805]

Cask at GBBF 2006. A dark orange beer with a beige head. The aroma is slightly sweet with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with floral hoppy notes combined with notes of caramel and malt, leading to a dry bitter end.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours a cloudy amber with a fine, whitish head. Bready malt nose. Lightly sweet flavor, bit of yeast, slight wood, dough. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Kind of bland finish, light sugars, dough and yeast, faint herbal and earthy bitterness. Condition is lacking but it might not matter much here. Average at best.

[email protected] 2009. Deep clear amber color, not much head. Aroma has light caramel and calvados kind of fruityness. Fruity flavor has apples and cardboard. Some sticky notes in the aftertaste. A bit watery. Hopped light cider? :)
