POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - SEP 22, 2012
Aug12: Bitter strong sharp taste of ginger despite it’s very sweet. Mysterious beer that may be served with sushi.

garthicus (2968) - Dublin, IRELAND - SEP 18, 2012
Bottle from Dunnes Stores. Appearance: very light yellow. Visible carbonation but no head. Aroma: Ginger ale, plain & simple. Flavour: Good ginger bite, very sweet. This is a soda for sure. I’ve rated a few ginger beers over the years and this is not one of them. As an alcopop - this is good, However this is not a beer.

rauchbier (3958) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - SEP 7, 2012
Bottle, from Sainsburys. Faintly hazy gold, fizzy but quickly disappearing white head and moderate condition. Sweet and ginger spiced in the nose, gentle sweetness and muted spiciness from the ginger in the mouth, lingering low ginger notes in the finish but a sticky sweetness lasts longest.

Kavu (5325) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 10, 2012
Pours pale golden with a low head. Aroma is sweet ginger and cola. Flavor is plenty of ginger and sugar with a small hint of soda somewhere in there. More like a soda than a beer, but since I like ginger, it?s good.

TBone (18756) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 4, 2012
Bottled 330ml (K-Citymarket)
Pale yellow, small white head. Soap, dish cleanser aroma. Medium-bodied. Soapy, overly sweet-sugary flavor. Ginger in the aftertaste. Burning ginger in the aftertaste. Too, too sweet "beer".

kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 4, 2012
It smells like Cola and Ginger. The taste is sugary ginger, cola, sugary and CO". For a soft drink ok, but not for a beer. 10/6/6/6/11/6

gnoff (11243) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 28, 2012
Bottle at The Rover, Göteborg, on July 27, 2012
Clear golden color, small white head. Chalky scent. Trocadero, smågodis/röda ferraribilar, very very very sweet taste. Medium mouthfeel, very low bitterness.
I was told there was plenty of ginger in there too, but I have problems feeling ginger, so can’t say for it myself.

Tide (4647) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 26, 2012
Bottle at bar. Golden color, white head. Sweet taste with lots of citrus and ginger. Very good ginger beer, however as a regular beer not that good at all.

bax (1312) - Hasselager, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 26, 2012
(Bottle 18/07-2012) light yellow color, slightly soap aroma, sweet ginger taste.

Leighton (23125) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 22, 2012
Bottle on a train in London heading to Luton. This beer should probably remain rateable so the entry can act as a warning to any unsuspecting ticker that may want to drink this atrocity. It pours clear gold, effervescent with a fine, white foam head. There is some spicy ginger on the nose, with hints of the sugar onslaught to come. The flavor is hugely, sickly sweet, very syrupy, with just nips of ginger to provide a meek kick. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sticky and stupidly sweet to finish with just moderate ginger character. Just way too sweet. Anyone who knows me knows that I will rarely not finish my beverage; I had to dump a good portion of this bottle.
