A rather nice session PA. Nothing really to distinguish it, except good balance and good judgement. Itís not over hopped, nor over sweet. Modest bitterness, and a medium finish. This would be a good beer with food. Bottle, Leon Pub. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 10, 2004
UPDATED: SEP 29, 2005 Didnít have quite the bitter bite that I look for in an American pale. Nice murky, unfiltered reddish tone. Good bitter hop aroma. Good bitter finish.PorterPounder (7888) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 17, 2004

Has a murky dark golden appearance -not much of a head. Pleasant aroma, muted spruce, heavy on the malt accents. Flavor has some low level bitterness - not quite citrusy - more peach like.A little unbalanced - more malt than hops. Decent mouthfeel. Overall, a decent APA. Hoss (607) - Florida, USA - JUN 25, 2004
Nice and cloudy for those who want that unfiltered look. I did not get that usual cascade hop bite. It is a very drinkable but unremarkable APA Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - JUN 15, 2004
This is an unpretentious pale ale that hits the right notes without doing anything exciting- the body is a nice blend of floral/earthy hops and biscuity malt as is the aroma. Several APAís Iíve tried are filtered but this pours a nice cloudy orange color with a thin off-white head and abundant yeast "floaties." Toasty, earthy, and kind of "dirty," this is a quaffable beer.

Very hazy light amber with a medium diminishing frothy off white head. Aroma of pine resin, grapefruit, caramel and bread. Slightly astringent. Medium watery body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Flavor of caramel, bread, grapefruit, orange peel and pine. If they could clean it up a little bit and get rid of the astringency it would be pretty good. Decent. dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - MAY 1, 2004
Bottled. Nice Pale ale. Iím a sucker for cascade hops which this had plenty of. 11026 (1772) - Alabama, USA - APR 22, 2004
Just didn't do it for me. Too little hop aroma. Malt overpowering or cancelling hops. Nothing to rave about. garrison (812) - Cin. city, Ohio, USA - MAR 28, 2004
Well, I like IPA's, but this was a pretty weak, generic American version of one (Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale is better). Still, it was tasty (even if not unique). hershiser2 (3019) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JAN 29, 2004
Paid $1.19 for a 12-oz single.
Cloudy, unfiltered golden-amber, with a large head, that lasts and laces. This is a nice looking pale ale!!
Bittersweet citrus in the nose, with hints of a strange floral sweetness buried deep down.
A nice, smooth pink grapefruit, ornage, and floral flavor. I'm impressed.
A bit thin in the carbonation, but not bad.
This is a really good brew. I'd definitely have this again.
