Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 10, 2004
UPDATED: SEP 29, 2005 I remember the sweet, malty finish the best. A copper-tone brew with a marginal head and adequate carbonation, it was a scratchy-red mouth-feel, a touch of sweetness. I need to try this again at a later date.

Wake me when this one is over. Light copper appearance, little to no head. No aroma whatsoever - I tried. Very muted flavor, slightly medicinal in nature. Perhaps a bit of roastiness - but otherwise pretty bland. Decent mouthfeel. Pass on this one.

humulus (339) - Salem, Missouri, USA - JUN 27, 2004
A "strange brew". Oysters, honey and a hint of bitter. A reddish hue. Sweet butterscotch aroma. Very soft palate. Honey in the flavor and an almost wintergreen/anticeptic quality. Unbalanced.

Hoss (607) - Florida, USA - JUN 25, 2004
I did not have hight expectations and that saved this brew. It had a red color and some flavor maybe a little more than BMC but not much.

thegreenrooster (4558) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 17, 2004
Pours red of course. Nice head to go with the pour. Aroma is brerady and malty. Flavor is nice. Its roasted malts with a citrus hop aftertaste. Not bad.

Silphium (3198) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - JUN 17, 2004
OK- this was the fourth beer of the night and continued a rapid downward rating trajectory. A lame excuse of a "microbrew," this "ale" could have just as easily been produced by Budweiser or Miller. It poured clear copper, with a thin off-white head and a biscuity aroma with a touch of caramel and grassy hops. The flavor was way, way, way too weak, with lightly sweet, toasty, biscuity malt and grassy hops. A tart and tangy mouthfeel led to little flavor. Lame, lame, lame.

Darkover (1543) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 14, 2004
Light red color with a medium beige head. Aroma is bready and a little fruity. Flavor is sweet, caramel, tangy and fruity.

Nexxus (261) - Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA - JUN 12, 2004
Hazy medium amber with a medium light brown head. Floral aroma of caramel, bread, raisin and red apple. Medium velvety body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Slightly woody flavor of caramel, red apple, plum, and bread with a hint of raisin. This could be a decent session beer. Not bad.

dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - JUN 8, 2004
Bottled. Not a bad beer. Didn’t knock my socks off. Had a nice malt character to it. Besides that tasted and looked like a red.

Terminus (3716) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 7, 2004
Nothing special here. Like Killians almost here. Nice color and weak aroma. Light red-like taste... pretty average here
