BATLMULLET (127) - Highland, Indiana, USA - MAY 12, 2004
Nice reddish copper color with a diminishing white head. Light in body, good balance of maltiness with an actual hop balance. Crisp and good, but fully middle of the road. darkerdabetter (255) - Michigan, USA - MAY 6, 2004
An easy drinking ale, but not much to it, other than a rich, red color, thin head, light aroma, and mediocre taste. The bottle claims rich caramel malts, but I didn’t detect that at all. igneous1 (1538) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - MAR 11, 2004
well, it's red. and very slightly hazy...light beige head, pretty thin. aroma is a little doughy and sweetish. flavor is mildly hopped, i can taste a little citrus quality, but overall, this beer is pretty thin and very ordinary. beerluvindave (194) - Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2004
Aroma was a bit decieving, but all-in-all not a bad red. I'd choose it over Killians any day! jzzbassman (1638) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JAN 2, 2004
Clear reddish brown with small white head with good lacing. Slight but pleasant aroma. Flavor a little thin, but inoffensive and well balanced. Could have used a little more bitterness, but it finished clean and was a good example of the style.

Pours with a two fingered frothy off-white head that leaves a good lace. Medium carbonation. Color is on the clear side of amber. On the sweet side but just barely. Starts smooth with some malt and finishes with a little hoppy bitterness. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - DEC 27, 2003
Really enjoyable. Hoppy and malty. wll balancced. Red in color. Full body, with caramel notes. It was an ok brew. Could have ben made better. MaiBockAddict (1497) - Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA - DEC 27, 2003
Not certain how old this bottle is, but aroma is ok with carmel notes and a touch of diacetyl. Orange red yellow color with tan head. Full body, with thin flavor of malt and carmel. OK overall, but either this tastes better fresh or can be better made. monkeyman (58) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 27, 2003
Undated single bottle. Inconspicuous but nice, with a little hoppy bite and faint malt. Needs to be much more for a red ale. crazyvin (2026) - New York, USA - DEC 23, 2003
nice reddish color to it with a thin white head. Hoppy and sweet and very smooth. Nothing special, but still drinkable.
