3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rating from memory after Cask Days festival. Second drink of the night. Pours a murky dark golden, small head, fizzy. Aroma: Slightly IPA-ish, not as hoppy as expected, and smells like masala. Notes of cinnamon, coriander, maybe some turmeric. Palate: Medium bodied, fizzy, slightly dry finish. Taste: fairly bitter, quite hoppy in the taste, followed by a really really nice spicy kick. Really good mix.
HAzy golden pour, small off white head. Mild hoppy aroma, some subtle spice, and grass. a soft cookie like maltiness. low bitterness, soft spicy finish. meh. blankboy (7780) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 14, 2012
Cask at Cask Days 2012. 2nd beer of the fest. Pours a cloudy gold with a small lasting bubbly white head. Mild aroma of hops, a hint of spice, malt, light rye-like notes and some sweetness. Enjoyable flavour, I definitely get more spice coming through, slightly sweet, along with malt, hops and a spicy, very bitter finish -- almost like leaving a tea bag in the tea for way too long. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good, the aroma is a bit mild but the flavour’s nice, except for the almost-harsh finish. rob6239 (677) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 10, 2012
Advertised as "India Spiced Ale". Pours and smells from the glass like a good hoppy india pale ale. The spices in the taste give some bite, like a peppercorn taste. Radek Kliber (7470) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - NOV 7, 2012
