Bottled, thanks Bov! Cloudy brownish amber, rich head. Rich aroma of tropical fruits and gooseberry. Mid sweet with rounded, dense caramelly malt forming a solid body. Tropical fruits leads to a long resiny bitter finish. magdalar (516) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - MAR 25, 2012
33cl bottle from Erzbierschof, 8.1% abv.
Pours a cloudy dark amber with a thick white head.
Smells of floral and citrus hops, with some yeast.
Tastes rather malty, with a medium-heavy sweetness and big bitterness.
Medium bodied, active heavy carbonation, oily to syrupy texture.
Finishes very bitter with a long duration, with some pine flavoring.
It’s interesting, but I think it’s trying to do a bit too much. Bov (13677) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JAN 21, 2012
courtesy of the Erzbierschofs - hazy amber beer; poor head retention; some wet grain, fairly aromatic hoppiness with notes of almonds, peaches; medium to full malt body; slightly sticky and pretty tasty; quite dry and with a long bitter fruity and piney finish
