50cl bottle courtesy of [email protected] Freiburg Tri-state tasting, merci vielmals, oder? Pours a peach amber, egg white foam. Sharp Simcoe nose with harsher, overripe exotics: lichee, mango. Taste disintegrates into quince bitterness, spruce, caramel edge, candied orange peel. Prickly apricot peel palate. Bit heavy.

Bottle 50cl @ 1st RB DE-CH-F Tasting. An amber beer, nose is on dry grassy hops and grapefruit. Aroma is sweet on caramel, yeast touch, grapefruit and lichee notes, unbalanced.

Hint of sweetness that often haunts double IPAs. Strong bitterness, particularly when a bit warmer.

Cloudy dark amber color with creamy head. Some fruity hop aroma, and vanilla, but not extremely fresh. Soft and round mouthfeel, sweet malt flavor (very good one); good bitterness level with nice subtle hop fruitiness, becoming a bit resiny in the end; also some alcohol warmth is detected in the end.
Fresh would be better; now it borders into an American Strong Ale.

TheJvd (1358) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 7, 2013
Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a largo off-white head. Aroma is sweet with caramel malts, piney hops and strawberries. Taste is sweet with red fruits, caramel, piney hops and a medium bitter finish. Medium body and carbo.

nassoro (38) - Neuchatel, SWITZERLAND - SEP 1, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2014 Excellent Double IPA - great malt backbone, floral hops, wonderful color and just a bit of head . Well done!

Bov (13677) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUL 28, 2013
from Erzbierschof - cloudy dark reddish-orange beer under a long lasting beige foam; nice lace; hoppy aroma with notes of cream, tea and almonds; full-bodied, some malt sweetness and a fair yet not as big as expected bitterness; long hoppy finish of apricot and flowers with hints of pine needles
