Sissio (1702) - Orsenigo, ITALY - NOV 23, 2016
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2016 Bottle at home. (Exp date Nov 2014) Explosive carbonation, almost impossible to open the bottle! Black, dark, brown head. Unfortunately went bad, acidic notes, rich roasted and nutty malts, hoppy bitterness and mold. To retaste eventually...

50cl bottle pours black with a massive thick brown head of tight bubbles. Scent of roasted malt, subtle coffee and light hops. Taste follows with no sweet notes but a balance malt hops burnt toast flavors. Nice and drinkable.

Nice black color with irresponsible foam volume. Probably a good IPA if you like coffee, if not this probably isn’t your favorite beer. The coffee is sadly SL overwhelming, that the rest of the taste are numbed.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 500ml bottled served in a pint glass. Purchased @ PiBar - Lausanne. A: Nice bottle art and label. Pours a dark brown color forming a huge medium bubbled tan head with great retention and some soapy and lingering lacings left in the glass. S: Sweet and biscuity in the nose. Strong notes of roasted malts and grassy and citrus hops. Bready yeasts profile. Some leather notes too. T: Sweet and roasted upfront. Quite biscuity. Notes of caramel and roasted malts. Citrus and grassy hops profile. Notes of oranges and brown sweet bread. Leather. Good and balanced hops bitterness. M: Medium body. Strong carbonation. Roasted and grassy aftertaste. O: Good drinkability. My first Storm&Anchor. Good surprise. Fresh Swiss brewery producing professional beers

Bottle from Erzbierschof - Black color with a beautiful bubbly beige head, fully lasting and lacing - Aroma of black roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, earthy, hint of soy sauce and licorice, hops is not really present - Aroma of coffee, vanilla dried fruits, plum, soy sauce and hints of licorice - Medium/full body, medium bitterness, fizzy carbonation, silky, bitter chocolate and coffee finish - hops are hidden, hard to describe, really good and really well balanced

Bottle. Pours deep brown with a giant, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has roasted malts, light coffee, citrussy hops. High carbonation, dryish, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has mild roasted malts, hazelnuts, chocolate. Quite bitter with fine citrus, cocoa, pine.

50cl courtesy of embrouille’s spillover [email protected] Freiburger Tri-Stae tasting, danke. bb11/2014. Really liking these new S&A labels + pours a delicious liquourice black with beige crema. More roast, some soy, cocoa powder notes in the nose than that typical Black IPA exotic hop bouquet - some tangerine, pear maybe remain subdominant. Taste delivery more of those porter/PA crossover accents (chocolate, liquorice, with fresh tangerine hop notes accompanying the "black" malts) tilting over into stout on quite a thin palate, making it immensely drinkable, undefinably overhopped porter, without major flaws besides maybe not strictly being a Black IPA. NOTE: Label indicates 7,1%, not 8,1%.

50cl bottle thanks to Bov. I shared it with some friends. Everybody loved it! Nice dark color with a large brown head. A lonnng finish. It doesn’t end... Thin to medium body. High bitterness and dryness. Aroma is roasted, hop, spices, light chocolate, light smoke.

Wow! Black color, very little head. The smell is hoppy, towards citrus/grapefruit . Taste is mindblowing, there is this mix of subtle stouty coffe roasty aromas, topped with a citrusy/grapefruit hop. Very well balanced, low co2 Very smooth aftertaste. Has stout features and IPA features, but its not typical for neither. Its better. Definetly in my top 10 of all beers.
