Bottle, courtesy of DerA, vintage 2013. Pours black. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, a bit goo-y and dusty, clearly not young. Body is heavy, strong caramel and coffee and chocolate, some liquorice. A good aged strong imperial stout. I can't find any smoke in this, but it is beautiful. SinH4 (7260) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - MAR 29, 2018
Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is ashtray, smoked, smells like it has umami in flavour. Taste is ashtrays, meat, chocolate, a touch oxidized, just the right amount, caramel. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Long umami aftertaste. Excellent! andrepintado (3841) - Porto, PORTUGAL - MAY 22, 2014

Pitch black color with generous brown compact head. Aroma of roasted malts, firewood, smoke. Full bodied, with a lovely smooth mouthfeel; roasted malt flavor, some dark chocolate, some smoke; layered feelings; quite strong bitterness; it never becomes too ashy, and it’s well balanced.
Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium tanned head leaving nice lacing. Aroma is tar, licorice, ash, roasted malts, campfire and smoke. Taste has licorice, smoke, roasted malts and a soft bitter finish. Lingering smoke and roasted malts in the aftertaste. Medium to full body and medium carbo. courtesy of Toni Flükiger - black beer with a robust head retention; a solid smokey aroma with notes of ashtray, black licorice and red fruity hops; full-bodied and very tasty; very dry and hoppy, long smokey finish with more notes of ashes and black cherries- powerful and subtle at the same time - over wonderful !
