Bottle shared at tasting. Poured a brown color with a medium off-white creamy head that mostly lasted with very good lacing. Medium toasted sweet chocolate malt aroma. Medium to full body with a dry smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy coconut sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of average duration. Soft sweet brew. crossovert (14433) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 26, 2014
500ml bottle. A bit thinner on the stout side, the coconut is gone, some hazelnut and ash. alexsdad06 (11710) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - NOV 26, 2014
500 ml bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours dark brown in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor had some roasted malts, cocoa, light earthy bitterness, ash, but what is lacking is the coconut, really not much if any coconut at all. The homebrew coconut stout we had before this was far superior. Disappointing. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 25, 2014
500ml bottle, purchased from Kahn’s on Keystone about 3 weeks ago. Shared with local raters. Dark brown color. Thin brown head, leaving good dots and bits of lace. Medium body. Smooth, mildly chewy, kind of soft light to moderate strength carbonation. Very toasty, heavy roast. Big coffee. Not much coconut though. Heavy roast coffee. Pretty dry finish. Mildly ashy, a little astrigent. Not bad, but we started off with a fantastic home-brewed Liquid Mounds coconut stout and this pales in comparison to that. Still, not bad, though. Solid and easy-drinking. shigadeyo (3889) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 25, 2014
Aroma is cocoa and mineral water and the flavor seems very much the same. This beer seems to be lacking everything one would expect based on reading the label. Dry, bitter, cocoa and roasted coffee in the finish. Not very good, really. Disappointing.

courtesy of Tom Strickler - black beer with a little beige foam left; very roasted chocolatey aroma, ashes and walnuts; a good malt backbone, very dry with long notes of ashes and coffee; very bitter with - yes - coconut notes finally in the finish
