UPDATED: JUN 3, 2015 Pour is a dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a peppery spice with som vinegar. Flavor is dark earthy malts with a bit of sour dark fruit. Finish is dry with a musty barnyard. Solid beer here. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 15, 2014
Bottle at Fork & Bottle, Zurich. Black with a nice beige head. Earthy and roasted malts nose as well as hints of apples. Dry and complex fruity and roasted flavours, well-balanced. Very good. BBB63 (6567) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - OCT 12, 2014
Bottle and served in snifter: Deep brown with a nice fluffy head and good lace. Outside of some ashy roast upon the finish you would not know this is a darkened beer. Nice yeast driven characteristics of earthy spice and soft fruit. A bit husky and a touch over carbonated. I dig this enough that I would buy another. AbouAli (195) - SWITZERLAND - OCT 11, 2014

from Erzbierschof - pours a very dark brown beer with a little beige foam left; aroma of black cherries and licorice, hints of blood; full-bodied, tasty and lively palate, fizzy and decently sourish; quite dry and long bitter/sourish aftertaste with lot of hops presence (red fruits, spices and licorice)
