Hints of black chocolate underneath; full-bodied, velvety and pretty thick palate, bitter and salty, quite dry and long coffeish and chocolatey finish with moderate wood reminiscence.

Surprisingly watery. Weird. Some glue. Some evil sourness. Kick of bitterness. Bourbon tame, coffee tame. Not pleasant. Damn, do I miss the Kodiak of yore.

Dark opaque black color, small steady brownish head. A bit oaky, bourbon aroma. Full-bodied. Roasted, a bit smokey, light tart notes, wood and earth. Barrel-aging has not gone 100% ok.

33 cL bottle. Pours black with a huge bubbly and brown head. Fruity, wineous and caramelish. Mild earthy. Dark malty flavoured. Bitter, fruity, dark malty and toasted. Breadish. Bitter and dry finish. Bitter far finish.

Bottle from Erzbierschof - Black color, small beige head, not lasting - Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, alcohol, hints of wood, and a weird vinous aroma - flavor is roasted malt, licorice, coffee and dark chocolate with this weird vinous flavor same as aroma - full body, sour, fizzy carbonation, sour finish who hide all the other thing - I’m a little bit disappointed, all the other beers I drink from Storm&Anchor was really good but not this one, probably a bad bottle.

Black color with very small head. The aroma mixes some roasted malt with light vinous sourness; it reminds me of BFM Alex Le Rouge. Smooth mouthfeel, good mix of dark chocolate and roasted malts, with a mild vinous character, and some Bourbon; correct bitterness.
I’m not sure this is what they intended, but it’s much better balanced and interesting than the unbarrelled version.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Black with beige head. Aroma of licorice, bourbon and vanilla. Mid sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Plenty of chocolate and licorice, bourbon and oak. Long bitter finish with some peppery alcohol.

[email protected] Black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, ashes, some slight toasted notes. Flavour is liquorice, alcohol, some wooden barrels as well as wood along with some mild ashiness.

from Erzbierschof Bottle Shop. Strong malted aromas mixed with pleasant wood notes. The finish is a little light, but it stays well on the palate nonetheless. Strong ABV, but not in-your-face. Altogether a well-balanced Stout.

Bottled 33cl. Shared with jaghana. Nice roasted malt profile. Good bitterness. Flawless and delicious to my tastes.

Bottle 33cl from Allen and shared with him, a dark beer with low head. Nose is on dark malt with vinous notes. Aroma is on roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, vinous, barrel notes, woods, mostly dry, Long wood vinous aftertaste.
