Hazy bright amber color with large compact head. Fresh aroma, with mild fruitiness, and light mint, not as the usual Nelson Sauvin. Good body strength, with lean body; malt and caramel flavor, with moderate and not cloying sweetness, good bitterness level, mild fruity touch and resins, and hints of the Nelson Sauvin character.
A good beer, one of the few very drinkable Double IPAs, that could be fantastic if fresh.

Sampled at omhper, thanks Per. Very lively big beige head. Apricot aroma. Tastey hop and light maltiness. A fine example of what to expect from the Nelson Sauvin hops.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Hazy pale amber, small head. Aroma of grapefruit and gooseberry. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Caramelly malt resting under a thick blanket of goosebery and lychee. Quite bitter finish. Interesting hops, less thrilling malt backbone.

The Nelson is like taking a ride on a hop ring around Saturn. Beautiful beer, just beautiful. It has phases of tropical fruit, balanced bitter and hoptasticness that just keep churning around in the mouth. Really long finish so really a full experience. I could drink it over and over and over again and would drop to my knees every time. Genius.

courtesy of Tom Strickler - fully copper-orange beer with a robust and persistent creamy beige head; shows a solid hoppy aroma with notes of pineapple, litchies and grapefruit; full-bodied and with a juicy palate and a creamy mouthfeel; a solid bitterness and a long and robust fruity hoppy finish (grapefruit dominates) - a great beer
